Winds Of Change

Ahh good morning. It’s Monday. The sun is shining, and the winds of change have swept through the land (although using that as a metaphor for Boris Johnson’s speech last night, it was more of a gentle breeze)… Nevertheless, there are a few things that we used to take for granted, that we can now look forward to. Such as taking al my garden waste to the recycling centre on Saturday, going for a haircut and finally having my bathroom finished (yup, until the last day BEFORE lockdown I didn’t even have a functioning bath. Thankfully the toilet is in a separate room)! So, what are you looking forward to this week? Being able to sit on a park bench, meeting friends or family – albeit with a two-metre distance – or maybe even a picnic, or perhaps just not feeling guilty for being out of the house. Did anyone else buy a trowel in Sainsbury’s and tried to keep it hidden in the trolley in case someone gave you a funny look because it’s not ‘essential’?

Well, whatever you are able to look forward to, let me know in the comments below.

If you can’t think of anything, well, how about this? Wednesday, Thursday, Friday AND Saturday are ALL days with Clarity TV shows! And boy-oh-boy are they worth looking forward to!

Wednesday and Thursday see the return of, perhaps some of our less well-known designs. But did you know they were designed by Barbara? Each set includes a floral border and a wall. The trick to using these to create exquisite artwork is to use them both together in just the right way. You’ll have to tune in to see how Barbara does it.

Next up – you’ve seen them before as Groovi Plates – is the enchanting Magic Moments collection. There are five glorious designs and each one includes its own charming features and details. Join Barbara and Paul to discover what kind of magic they produce with these stamps.

To end an utterly delightful week, we’ve got a very special set of designs to launch at 1pm on Saturday. If you’ve been following Barbara’s Doodleology art-workout Live from the SHAC sessions on our Facebook page at 10am every morning, you may well have seen, and indeed doodled yourself, the Birdhouse and the Balloon. Well, we’ve gone and turned them into Groovi and stamps! How’s about that? Surely an instant Clarity classic, these designs are sure to be essential collector’s items and charming craft tools in their own right! Plus, with special introductory prices on all our new releases, what’s not to look forward to?

And if that’s not worth looking forward to, I don’t know what is.

Bye for now. Stuart!

As we are both in the high risk category we have decided to stay in lockdown for the time being. Not a problem for us as we have plenty of Clarity goodies and other hobbies to keep us occupied. The next launches of new items will be very welcome.
What do we look forward to? People not assuming we are incompetent geriatrics. The texts, letters, calls etc. are more depressing than the shutdown. We are well, happy, occupied and comfortable.
Keep smiling, it really does help.

I’m not sure you should be thinking about a haircut. How is that possible from a 2 metre distance?
Your comment may send the wrong message.

    Good luck with your bathroom.

In my corner of the US we are still in quarantine, but it has not been as strict as yours. Garden centers have been declared essential (Yay!) so I can still get items for my spring cleanup. Too cold though for planting anything besides peas, lettuces and the cabbage family.
Our Mother’s Day was on Sunday. I went to see my Mom and we went for a social distanced walk. Not quite sitting for a long chat and a cup of tea, but it’s better than the phone and even good for both of us. Can’t wait to be able to give her a hug.
Those balloons are great, a definite purchase. Looking forward the the show.

I think that was more of a very gentle and intermittent breeze. I’m staying in. With street parties for VE Day held in some areas, I think we can expect another spike in a fortnight. It depends on your dump, Stuart, but ours is saying you can only go there if your need is ‘essential’. Does your garden rubbish meet that criteria? I’m not sure what would. Thank goodness you had a toilet! I am waiting for a hole in the roof to be repaired, having moved after you, so will be delighted to see workmen. I am looking forward to furniture and carpet deliveries too so I can finish unpacking. A hair cut is definitely later, even if I do now resemble Ken Dodd on his worst day.

I am so glad the doodles have turned into products. I had two goes at the balloon and stopped after the heart. I must get back to it. Barbara mentioned balloon stencils for the challenged. Will they be coming later? I think it would be great to have something to doodle within – I made my VE Day bunting with your triangle.

It will be nice to be able to meet up with family but for now its only 1 to 1 in the open air. We must be patient & sit it out for a few more weeks whilst the powers that be see how people going back to work where possible has on the effect of the virus – hopefully it will keep decreasing & then & only then we will be able to think of seeing our families. There are a lot of iou’s on the hugs front !!
Meanwhile we will carry on doodling every morning & watching Hochanda for our crafty fix.
