Saturday Share: An August Full of Art

We’re back with another Saturday Share, and this week we’re diving straight back into Barbara’s August Arty Challenge! You’ve been enjoying yourselves it seems 🙂
The August Arty Challenge is in full swing now, and what a joy it’s been watching it unfold! There are so many fabulous interpretations of the daily prompts, and I especially love seeing how differently you each run with the same starting point. One idea, hundreds of creative directions… exactly what it’s all about.
I’ve been happily scrolling, saving and admiring as much as I can along the way, and there’s another fantastic collection to share with you today!
As I mentioned last week, with SO much artwork being shared, it’s almost impossible for me to find and save every single piece. I’ve gathered as much as I possibly can, but if yours hasn’t made it into today’s gallery, please don’t take it personally. I promise it’s simply a case of there being so much wonderful work out there! Facebook has also decided to stop putting the Facebook posts in order, which has added to the challenge of not missing a thing. Lovely little tech gremlins!

What an incredible amount of artwork, and what a talented bunch you are. It’s not just the quantity that’s impressive either. The variety is brilliant! The same prompt can land in front of ten different people and somehow become ten completely different pieces of art. And feel original. That’s the magic of it, isn’t it?
Thank you to everyone who’s joining in, whether you’re managing something every day, dipping in and out when you have time, or simply following along and cheering everybody else on. There’s no right way to take part. Please leave a comment with your thoughts on this week’s gallery, if you like. This has taken bloomin’ AGES to put together hahaha!
Things will be a little quieter online at Clarity Towers next week as the August Clarity Retreats get underway. Mum and the team will be busy welcoming our Retreat guests and settling in for some proper creative time together, so bear with us if things feel a little less busy than usual online. They’re still going like the clappers, just not on screen 🙂 And Sale Orders are still flying out of the door, so please continue to bear with us as the team works their way through.

Back to this week’s share, I thought I had been assiduous in making sure to view all posts on FB relating to the August Challenge but obviously not at all in comparison to you Grace as you have highlighted many I’d not seen: I think I must have missed viewing the album perhaps: another great idea.
Thank you again, Grace for all your hard work this (and every other week) in showcasing all the lovely artwork that has been posted; very much appreciated.
Wow Grace! What a wonderful gallery again this week. Thank you for putting it together. Its so wonderful to see all the artwork that everyone has produced. This has been a brilliant challenge and I’m loving every day and its made me use my brain (what’s left of it!) and try new things. Not every day has gone to plan but its made me learn how to work with what I’ve got. My new mantra is “don’t over stamp it, get over it. Works a treat. Have a lovely weekend. x

Wow Grace, what a wonderful array of artwork again this week. As you say so many different interpretations from watching one short video each day done by Barbara. Its cooler here today so hopefully I will be able to get into my craft room, without melting, & do some catching up. Thanks for taking the time to collate it all, its nice to see them all in one place as I am sure I have missed some of these. I must also remember to check out the album.
For those going to the retreats, I hope you have a fabulous creative time & look forward to seeing the results once they are all over, so as not to spoil the surprise for the 2nd group of inky crafters.
To everyone else have a good week, perhaps it will give us all a chance to have a catch up on all those WIP’s that I for one keep finding !!

Wow! This has really caught people’s imagination. I love all the variations on each theme. I, myself, have had to improvise big time as I do not have many stamps as I do not do “messy”. I prefer Groovi but this is very good for me to try something new. Thanks to Barbara for the inspiration.

Wow and Hi Grace!! What a job you have had!! Amazing work by both you, your Mum and to everyone that has contributed to this wonderful gallery of beauties! I have had my difficulties this week because I was posting and commenting too much so Facebook booted me off! This is why this part of my week is so important so that I can see what I might have missed. I was very sad to not be able to post my makes on a daily basis but at some point I hope to be able to add them slowly along the way! I did manage to keep up with Barbara by doing my affirmation card on a daily basis and cannot tell you how much I have been enjoying it. It is remarkable how we all interpret each of Barbara’s little videos and what we have to do to improvise here and there which I have had to do also! Keep up the good work everyone and thanks once again to Clarity! Enjoy your weekend Grace! xx

Thanks for commenting on my calendar entry, Sheila – it was a last minute decision to join in and I thought I’d make it easy by keeping it small – it is actually quite a challenge finding stamps small enough! I’m really enjoying it though and am pleased I’ve been able to get something for each day (have had to go a bit off piste today!)

It is wonderful to see so many rising to this arty challenge. Such a variety of work and i don’t envy you the task of choosing and collating the fantastic art work each week. A big thanks for all you do to keep us in the loop.
It’s good to see Barbara back in the saddle but I do hope she manages some rest time in between her activities.

Wow! – that was my immediate reaction as I scrolled through this wonderful gallery, and I see from the comments that so many others were equally wowed!
I am thoroughly enjoying the inspiration to get arty just for a few minutes each day, at a time when, without this, I probably wouldn’t be venturing into my craft room (life has thrown a few curve balls this year). I know it must have been a lot of work prepping all the videos, but I hope this might become a regular part of the Clarity calendar (a bit like Inktober).
Such a wonderful variety of ideas and projects. I will need to catch up when I’m home, but really looking forward to the retreats next week!!
