Saturday Share Time!

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope this finds you well, happy and enjoying your weekend.

Thanks for joining me for our weekly Saturday Share Artwork Gallery! Apologies for not getting one done last weekend, but as you know.. we were at the Clarity Open Days. Such fun! And a resounding success overall. Thank you for joining us, and supporting Clarity. It means the world to us.

But back to our regularly scheduled programming… each week I take this opportunity to shine an extra light on a handful of cards I found, whilst managing Clarity Worldwide and Groovi Worldwide. We so appreciate you all posting your beautiful artwork day after day. Not only does it inspire fellow crafters, particularly newbies, it gives us purpose! So, THANK YOU!

Now, grab that cup of whatever soothes you and enjoy these stunners with me…

Aren’t they brilliant? You continue to blow me away.

Have you been able to tune into our new Clarity Social TV shows? They air on both YouTube and Facebook. We’re starting to have a bit of schedule now, which makes it easier for you to follow at home. 10am and 2pm, on various days. AND our videos are always available on Catch Up. You can watch them whenever you fancy, wherever you are in the world! We think that’s important. And we are really grateful for your continued support. What a fabulous little community to be in.

Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow to check out this week’s step-by-step blog tutorial. I’m really loving how many of you are following them and then sharing your inspired versions online. It makes it all worthwhile, it really does.

See you tomorrow!

Travel gently, friends.
Lotsa love, Grace xo

Thank you Grace for my Saturday, arty fix. I’m glad you arrived back safely. I really like the Clarity TV shows without the constant rush to get the demos completed & the fact that they are then stored for future reference not just a set number of days never to be seen again. Difficult times I know but we are all behind you all supporting you as best we can.

A wonderful and very inspiring gallery today. Thank you Grace for choosing one of my 8 cards, that I sent to you as I am not on Social Media. I made this card for my Sister’s milestone birthday. I am very pleased that it made you happy! As you saw, a lot of work went into that card and is very achievable thanks to Julie Campbell’s step-by-step tutorial on this ere blog.

A special thank you goes to Glynis Whitehead who gave me the confidence to perfect my Picot Cutting at the “snip clinic” at my first Open Day in Ditton In June 2023 and I didn’t cross my legs once! 🤣 At the recent Christmas Open Day, Glynis was blown away and bursting with pride when I showed her my Picot Cut 3D Snowflakes and all 4 of Josie’s diagonal circular grids Picot Cut work. That made me very happy too! 😁

I am very inspired by Sharron Bradford’s card, as I have a project in progress using Linda’s Gladiolus Flowers & Lace Plate. I have done a full circle and have Picot cut out most of the inner parts. After this is done, I will perforate around the lace circle and cut out ready for putting a design in the middle, but I haven’t decided what yet (maybe the 3D Snowflakes?). I am wondering if Sharron used part of the Gladiolus lace design and moved the oval around it to make a complete lace oval. If Sharron is reading this, can you please let me know if this is correct using the reply button. Thank you.

Have a good Crafty Weekend all. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s step-by-step tutorial.

Hi Michael – I used Tina’s centrepiece plate to get my oval shape which I embossed first. I then used a small section of the Gladioulus plate and worked my way around the oval, making sure that the the gladiolus design sat on the rim of the oval (hope this makes sense).

After working my way around, I had to slightly stretch the gladiolus design a little to ensure that it met up with where I started.

As the design has so much going on with the picot cutting, it isn’t really very noticable where some of the sections have been stretched or made smaller to fit. Hope this information is helpful.

        Hi Sharron,

Very helpful information; thank you. I have cut out my full circle of the gladiolus design; however a few of the embossed tear drop shapes fell off where the Parchment was weakened with the inner Picot cut. Oh well back to the drawing board, a little annoying as it took a long time to do, but it was good practice. Next time I will make sure that I don’t pierce too close to the embossing!

As they say on Strictly Come Dancing – “Keep Practising!” 🤣

Fab projects as always! Lovely to see a lot of new people joining up on the fb pages. I was on the YouTube ‘tv’ shows this week and there were at least two who have starter kits either just arrived or waiting for and one I was able to direct to the Clarity FB page! Glad you had a lovely trip over for the Open Days and are safely back xx

    Hi,
Thank you for including some of my cards! When the weather is grey and wet, there is nothing better than crafting. And rooting through your stash and looking to use old and new.
I really like to be inspired by all the projects.

    Have a great week all!!!

Fantastic share this week, Grace. They are all such beautiful pieces of artwork.
It was lovely speaking to you at the Open Days – I can’t believe that was a week ago.
Still out of the loop at the moment so really enjoy your roundup of work. Thank you.
Could you also thank Paul for picking my name to win the last of the last Christmas parchment on Tuesday. It was a lovely surprise to come home to yesterday as well as my Club plate and the goods for the viaduct project.
I’ll also take this opportunity to say what an amazing woman your Mum is. You must feel very proud to call her your Mum. xx

Hi Grace, it was lovely to catch up with you last weekend. The 2 days were well worth the 3.5hr train/tube/train journey to get there. Another lovely selection of artwork this week – its great to see new names posting both on here & the FB pages. I will check back tomorrow for the Sunday project. I have last weeks almost finished but can’t share until after it has been delivered as the recipient reads the FB pages !!
