Groovi Shac Friday!

Hi there, Grace here.

I hope you’re all having a decent week… and staying safe & sane!

It’s Friday! June 5th. Which I’ve just found out is National Donut Day.
I wonder where I can get a donut delivered from….

That is something that I appreciate about New York City. Even amidst the pandemic, there are many restaurants and companies still in business, and so if I really wanted to I could definitely order donuts to myself right now. Quite dangerous really! But hey, if google tells me it’s National Donut Day, I better comply.

But yes, Friday! So you know what that means… Groovi SHAC time!

Here is Groovi SHAC Challenge number #008! Sink your teeth into this!

And of course… my favourite part! YOUR art. Feast your eyes on these…

A fabulous selection, don’t you think? It still blows my mind that you all are starting with the exact same instructions and inspiration, and yet the end results are all COMPLETELY different.

From your colour choices, to what plates you decide to use. I think your personalities come through in your artwork, and though I don’t know all of you personally I’m beginning to notice that you each have your own style.

Right, you better get cracking! Also, FYI – I choose cards throughout the week up until Thursday afternoon, so if you want to have your card featured try to get it posted to Facebook before Thursday evening. I’m seeing lots of beautiful cards posted once I’ve already written the blog, and I’d like to include them.

I choose them from Groovi Worldwide (I check Clarity Worldwide too, incase there’s some floating amongst the Mandarin Ducks and African family doodles) but if you’re not sure how to post or share your work online, you can always email them to me: Grace@claritystamp.com

Back tomorrow for my Saturday Share! 🙂

Stay safe!

Lotsa Love, Grace xoxo

If it is easy to get doughnuts, I think you should set yourself more of a challenge either making them or seeking something more difficult to find like afternoon tea. Oven baked doughnuts are easy to make. Of course, we will need proof of baking on the blog!

Great work from all those chosen. People are so inventive and skilled.

Do nuts sound wonderful but having gone gluten free a couple of years ago not worth the risk but just the thought is making my mouth water Mmmmmmm !! So I think on behalf of all do nuts you should celebrate them if you can , but stay safe whilst doing so.
The cards this week are all lovely, I failed to complete the task this week & I need to make some new baby cards for my new granddaughter born yesterday morning. Delivered 1 yesterday to a proud Great Grandma but need to do some for the parents, other Grandparents & Great Grand parents so I can get them in the post.
Hope you have a fab weekend but see you for a catch up tomorrow

Thanks for picking my card Grace, all the other cards are great and yes it’s amazing how each of us produce something completely different with the same set of instructions. However if we didn’t have the great plates we wouldn’t be able to pick different things would we so that’s all down to your mum and the whole team at Clarity! Stay safe and hope you get your donut! Xx

Hi Grace. Had a lovely morning with your Mum finishing my Mandarin ducks. My son works for Dunkin Donuts in the offices in Boston and they get free donuts on a Friday. Unfortunately they are having to work from home so my grandchildren are really missing their donuts. Stay safe x

Been so busy paddling furiously with the ducks that I nearly ran out of time to tackle shack download this week. I have enjoyed them all so ducks got left behind today so I could have a go at no.7.
    Ducks can get finished tomorrow

    Hello Grace

Thank you for showing mine. As I said, mine’s different because I didn’t read the instructions properly, lol. Once again there are samples from three members of the East Northants Groovi Group. Yay.

Hope you managed to get some doughnuts. Me, I like the ball shaped ones with jam in the middle and rolled in crunchy sugar.

    Love
    Roz.xxx
