Clarity Matters Blog Tutorial: The Stack of Teacups

We are joined today by the brilliant Sarah Brennan. She has kindly put together an inky stampy blog tutorial for us. I’ll hand you over to our tutor!

I have really enjoyed playing around with one of the postcards that Clarity has to offer. This is the stack of teacups postcard! I like to use the images in a different way, rather than leaving them as they are on the postcard. 

Ingredients

Pack of 10 Postcards – Stack of Teacups (ACC-PC-31165-XX)
KISS by Clarity – Bijou Ribbon Sentiments A6 Stamp Set (STA-WO-11506-A6)
Nested Oval Doodle Frame-its Frames Die Set (ACC-DI-31238-XX)
Card Blanks 7″ x 7″ White x20 (ACC-CA-30619-77)

Step 1. Fussy cut the stack of cups from one of the postcards of the same name.

Step 2. Colour elements using Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils blended with a watercolour brush pen (#219, #126).

Step 3. Die cut the oval doodle frame-its frames from black card and set the third largest to one side.

Step 4. Working directly onto the front of a 7” x 7” white card blank, add spritzes of Crackling Campfire, Lumberjack Plaid, Festive Berries and Barn Door Distress Oxide sprays and dry.

Step 5. Add the frame and the cups.

Step 6. Add the Thank You Bijou Ribbon sentiment in Nocturne Versafine Clair ink and heat emboss with clear powder.

Step 7. To finish, add the label to the cups and use a black fine liner to join the images.

What a lovely card! I love the idea of using those postcards for projects. There are so many ways they can be cut up and used. Very cool!
