All the embossing on this project is done on the back.
The colouring on this project is all done on the back except for the gem, which is done on the front and the back.
All the perforating and cutting on this project are done from the front.
Step 1. Over the Nested Scallops Squares Groovi plate, emboss the largest and 2nd smallest squares and scallops using the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool).
Step 2. Using the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) for the circles and the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool) for the rest of the line art, emboss the design from the Small Christmas Corners 2 Groovi plate into the corners of the large square.
Step 3. Emboss the angel from the Small Christmas Corners 2 Groovi plate into the small square. Use the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) for the wings and the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool) for the rest of the line art.
Step 4. Radiating out from the small square to the large square, emboss the long wreath from the Small Christmas Corners 1 Groovi plate. Use the Groovi No.2 tool (or Pergamano 1.5mm embossing ball tool) for the circles you want to emboss white and the Groovi No.1 tool (or Pergamano 1mm embossing ball tool) for the rest of the line art.
Step 5. Using the Groovi No.3 and No.4 tools (or Pergamano 1.5mm and 3mm embossing ball tools), emboss gently inside the angel wings, dress and all the circles that had been embossed with the Groovi No.2 tool. Start with the largest ball tool and let the parchment rest between layers.
Step 6. Still working on the back, colour the small elements with Perga Colour Exclusives.
Step 7. Along the inside edge of the large square and outside the edge of the small square, colour using the Dorso Crayon.
Place a drop of Dorso oil on a spot-on sponge. Fold a kitchen towel in a triangular shape, touch it onto the sponge to pick up some oil and blend the colour so it is darker along the edges and fading out toward the centre of the parchment.
TOP TIP: If you have too much oil on the napkin, the colour will come off, so blot off the excess on another piece of dry kitchen towel. If you have too little oil, the blending will not be smooth, so touch just the very tip of the Dorso oil for the tiniest amount of oil.
Step 8. On the front, perforate inside all of the scallops and outside the larger scallops square using the Pergamano bold 2-needle perforating tool.
Picot cut between all the perforations making sure the scissors are over the waste when you cut.
Step 9. Add as much or as little (or none at all) Perga glitter as you wish.
Cut a square from a companion paper using a Nested Square Picot Die that is larger than the parchment piece.
Mount the parchment piece onto the companion paper using brads and stick this on folded white card. And you’re finished!
That is a STUNNING card. Thank you, Tina, for breaking this project down for us into achievable steps. So much work has gone into this card, but you make it look easy.
For those of you at home… if you’d like to give this project a go, we’d love to see your versions! Please feel free to send me any work you create. I’m always here to appreciate it, and sometimes I even pop them into the Saturday Share Blog.
