Saturday Share!

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope this finds you well.

Another week has flown by and here we are again, with our Saturday Share blog. I’m currently working from a different location today, and it’s so idyllic! Most days I work from my home office in Brooklyn, but I travelled to Massachusetts with a couple of friends on Thursday evening and this is where I find myself on a Friday afternoon, putting this blog together 🙂

It’s my friend’s family home, and we’re lucky enough to get to stay here for the weekend. It really feels like England… which makes sense since it’s in ‘New England’! But even the inside of the house has huge UK vibes. Low ceilings, that old book & furniture smell (Mmmm, love it!) and the sounds of birdsong, bugs and leaves rustling outside. We’re also only a 10 minute drive from a beach apparently. Result!!
It’s quite nice to get out of the city for a few days and just be in nature, especially when everything looks and smells like home. I immediately feel my mind slowing down, more at peace, and must remind myself to do this more often. And guess who packed her rollerblades?!

What a perfect environment to put this blog together for the weekend. Have you got a cuppa at the ready? This week I found some absolutely gorgeous cards of yours on Clarity Worldwide and Groovi Worldwide. Let’s have a look together…

Deb McMullin
Olga Šedivà
Vaness Byham
Sue Holland
Margaret Rogers
Camilla Lyngedal
Emily Simons (Susan Bould’s Granddaughter)
Jane Thompson
Alison Robb
Janet Ball
Susan White
Lesley Jones
Kay Fairgrieve
Catherine Summerfield
Jane McDowell

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL. Don’t you agree? Each and every card is so creative, in such unique ways. They all jumped off the screen at me, for various reasons. The card by Catherine Summerfield, for example, really spoke to me on a personal level this week. Where peaceful rivers flow indeed… I need to find a hammock!

I hope you find some peace in your weekend. It’s there, you just have to seek it out sometimes. Or let it come to you. I’d love to know how you’ll find some calm in your weekend. I’ve ventured out of the city to find it. When I Facetime’d my Mum and Dave Friday afternoon, they were finding their peace in the garden together, slowing down. What about you?

Looking ahead, we have a fun-filled Sunday for you tomorrow. Starting with a gorgeous step-by-step project tomorrow morning on this ‘ere blog. And then an afternoon Clarity TV show. Love a good Sunday dose of Clarity.
Please join us on Create & Craft tomorrow for a fabulous Sunday show!
3-5pm – See you there!

Until then, travel gently. I’ll be doing the same <3

Lotsa love, Grace xo

As a newbie Groovi addict,it’s been so encouraging receiving praise for my first pieces. It gives you that little boost to your day.The Clarity group members have been so kind and welcoming ,wished I joined during the dark days of lockdown .Crafters are kind lovely people and I feel as if I’ve made a load of new friends. It’s amazing to see all the different of levels of skill and the variety of work being produced out there. It’s like visiting a wonderful art gallery everyday.Feeling a bit proud to think my piece of early work warranted a mention. So thank you for that it’s meant such a lot.xx

Hope you have a fabulous weekend, its strange isn’t it how somethings so far away remind you of home. Glad to hear your Mom & Dave found time to relax in the garden before her busy weekend. We forget we are getting older & still try to do everything at the speed we did when we were younger. That’s where crafting comes into its own – we have to sit for a while & slow down. Although sometimes we get so engrossed that we sit too long !! can’t win – the joys of getting older !!
There is another great selection of cards this week & its nice to see the younger ones joining in – a great summer holiday occupation for them away from TV & technology.
Another dry sunny day here so washing is on. Then I shall sit & finish my PTC swap & a few cards needed for August.
Only a week to go until I head off to the Retreat – really looking forward to it & meeting others from the Clarity family.
Will look in tomorrow to see what Groovi Sunday has lined up for us – had all good intentions to do last weeks but somehow the week has flown by. We did go into Birmingham to see the Bull that was part of the Opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. We thought it was only going to be there until Monday but now it is staying until September – he moves on the hour for about 10 minutes.

Great selection of cards this week.
Having been immobile for a while I am now out of pain so I took advantage of the cooler mornings to catch up on chores. Might have over done it a little as I am starting to ache so it’s feet up and I can enjoy the 2 orders delivered today. Tomorrow I know your Mum will have something special for us.
Enjoy the rest of your break.

      Hello Grace
Another bunch of beautiful cards from very talented ladies.
Well done to little Emily Simons. I hope she continues on her Groovi journey.
Congratulations also to fellow East Northants Groovi Group member, Janet Ball. As with all the cards, it looks even better ‘in the flesh’.
      Love
      Roz.xxx
