Mixing it up mid-week!

Hi there Clarity crafty friends! Hope you are all doing well and keeping safe. Stuart here and back with another mid-week blog for you.

I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get itchy feet, now. Lockdown wise, that is. I’m one of those people who really enjoy their own company. I’m weird like that. I love people and being around others, but I’m so easily self-contained that it’s taken me until now to think “huh, yeah, lockdown is becoming a bit of a drag, now”. Perhaps the lack of a car for almost two weeks has something to do with it, but I would really like to get out and about! I mean, going to work in the office has probably kept me going, too, but this past week or so I’ve felt a real need for an adventure – to try something new – and to scratch those itchy feet… Who knows, hey? We’re off to Arundel in Saturday. Perhaps that will turn into an adventure. We like to go to Arundel because we pretend it’s called Arendelle for the girl. Frozen fan, of course, so she loves that.

We get itchy feet in the office, too, by the way. Restless I think is the better word. Not because we run out of stuff to do, but because we just keep thinking of new and innovative things to do for you guys. (Well, mostly Barb, she’s the brains of the operation 😉)! So, how about I let you in on what’s going down this week at Clarity?!

First up, we’ve got TV for you! Pretty standard I know. We’ve been on TV for years now. But this week’s shows are as imaginative and innovative as ever and Barb has some real treats in store for you on Mixed Media Friday as well as Crafting with Clarity on Sunday.

It’s this coming Friday and the shows will feature the launch of these incredible new Grunge Elements stamps. Barb is so excited about these, I can’t tell you how excited! She showed us some artwork she had prepped for it in the staff Zoom meeting on Tuesday and boy-oh-boy are you going to want to check out what’s in store.

Then on Sunday Barb is back with her Feathered Friends. You’ve probably seen these designs before; in the colouring book and more recently in the SHAC Shack when Barb used the postcards. But you haven’t seen them like this! The miniatures stamp set, especially, is something that is really going to have a lot of appeal, and can be used to produce super cute artwork!

Visit our website to learn more about each show.

We’ve also been busy working on new designs. If you’re a Barb’s blog reader, you might have seen this beauty mentioned last night. The Paisley & Leaves Sampler. It’s a design laden with intent and possibility, this is. The whole point was to provide a beautiful and decorative design that really serve the purpose of also helping you to practise your parching techniques. You can read more about it on Barb’s blog here, or you can head straight on over to our website here to become one of the first people to own this brilliant little Plate!

Then, of course, we have our Offer of the Week this week. In case it’s happened to pass you by, we’ve started Clarity Offer of the Week. Every week we will be giving you great discounts on great Clarity products, as well as a dedicated Offer of the Week page on our website which will be loaded with creative content such as videos, artwork inspiration, and links to blogs and tutorials, all in order to help you make the most from our products! So be sure to keep watching out each Monday for the latest offer to be released! There will be an email in your inbox at 9am each Monday to tell you what the new offer is so you have every opportunity to get your hands on those great deals. Plus, did we mention your club discounts will apply? That’s right, even on massive discounts like 50% OFF you’ll get your additional 10-15% OFF if you’re a club member!

Well, as usual, I’ve rambled on a bit. I’ll leave you to investigate further, all of those things which I’ve mentioned. Just click the links and you’ll be whisked away to where you need to be. In the meantime, I’m off to work on some more graphics for the website and do some prep for next week!

Oohh… before I forget… There will be a little break from the SHAC Shack next week. Barb has loads going on so won’t be going live at 10am as usual. Paul Church will be bringing you a very paisley Groovi Tuesday, but that’s the only SHAC session next week!

See you soon!

Stuart

I’m like you, Stuart. I enjoy my own company, too, and have therefore loved lockdown! There will be more that two of us who have! Hope you get the great adventure you’d like at the weekend! Looking forward to the shows at the weekend.

Yup!!! Me too. Very comfy with my own company. Although it is nice to get out and about, talk to people, it is nice to get home to the peace and quiet and to craft. As I get older the hustle and bustle, over pushy sales staff and noisy and inconsiderate bystanders annoy me. I am in danger of becoming a grouch 👹
I have loved watching the YouTube sessions, picking up hints and tips too.
Ordered the Paisley plates but not ordering anything else this week. Funds are limited.
    Stay safe.

I’m another who loves to be alone and I’ll miss having a valid reason for doing so -I’ve absolutely loved lockdown!! I have no wish to go out yet and no reason to do so, so will be staying home until there is a good reason not to. I have a slight problem in that I need to use a wheelchair to go shopping or anywhere involving much walking (I can do short distances, but not standing still at all) and my friend next door , who is 90 and pushes my chair, is having mobility problems herself now. Pity they don’t do a tandem electric wheelchair that folds to go in the car!! We are both looking forward to seeing the upcoming shows, but my credit card is hiding -it doesn’t know I have the number in my head and can use it even when it hides!!!

Hi Stuart, I am also happy with my own company, I think I could possibly be a hermit haha. I am not in any hurry to be in the company of others either, yet, and definitely not before my 2nd vaccination next month, even then I think it will be a long time before I feel comfortable being ‘near’ others.
Thank you for the lowdown on what is happening this week, I am looking forward to watching.
    Take care.
    Love from Patricia xx

Hi Stuart, what a busy week at Clarity Towers. I listened to this mornings SHAC whilst stripping layers of wallpaper off a wall at my daughters house so will finish off my pictures of Kent over the next few days. We are venturing away for 4 nights next week to Tideswell in Derbyshire, it seems ages since we have been able to do this, in fact we managed to celebrate our birthdays at the Youth hostel where we met 50 years ago the weekend before lockdown in November.
Hope you have an enjoyable time in Arundel at the weekend with the family. Its nice to be able to start getting back to things we did before even if we are still cautious as how we go about it.

Thank you for keeping us up to date with the Clarity news etc Stuart. I also do several other crafts but they fit in around Clarity tv programmes. I am a newish member of the stamp club so there is always something to look forward to. I am very happy with my own company but I also look forward to meeting up with family and friends.
Clarity has been great company for during the lockdown and it has been great to be in touch with many other crafters I have known for a long time. Enjoy your adventure and keep safe. Thank you, Pat

Thanks Stuart, hope you had a good weekend. I met with my family on Saturday which was great and today (Sunday) I tried to craft and watch Barbs on TV but had far too many interruptions (good job I recorded it). I shall try again tomorrow. I’ve got the paisley plate and look forward to Paul’s tuition on Tuesday. Have a good week
