Our Saturday Sharing
Hello hello! Grace here.
Happy Saturday! And the first day of the month. Has it been a good week for you? I hope so. It’s been a pretty crazy one again here. We’re officially now out of the old apartment, door closed, keys handed over. PHEW! Took a lot of work every evening, as it suddenly came two weeks early! But hey, well worth it. And well relieved 🙂 Plenty more to do, but at least it’s all under one roof now!
Plus… anytime I start to feel stressed or overwhelmed by the amount of boxes still to unpack or the workload in front of me, I try to remind myself what is happening in India right now. Perspective. Unbelievably heartbreaking. We experienced something on a similar (but of course smaller) scale in New York City last year. My beautiful city was truly on it’s knees. And it’s nothing short of terrifying, being in the midst of an epicenter. And what’s happening in India is so so much worse.
As we jump back to some form of ‘normality’ in our parts of the world; we begin to plan trips, retreats, post-vaccination-outings, let’s just take a moment to remember that this is still very much other people’s nightmare. I remember when everyone in the world was watching New York (and Italy) in horror. And now I feel like I’m in that same seat watching helplessly as they go through it.
I’ve just donated what I could, and hope you’ll do the same. There by the Grace of God Go I. And every little bit truly does help. If you need some recommendations on where to donate (it is overwhelming and hard to know what is effective sometimes) please don’t hesitate to email me (grace@claritystamp.com). A good friend of mine, who is from India, kindly pointed me in the right direction. I’d be glad to do the same <3
Every morning that we wake up, we should grab it with both hands and seize the day! It’s wild that we don’t naturally. Whatever we’re doing today; whether it’s simply staying indoors, doing some craft, venturing into the garden or beyond, seeing friends or family, popping to the shops… let’s try to be present and aware of how lucky we are to be just doing that, eh? That’s all I ask. I’ll try to do the same, I promise.
And, might I add.. stay on our guard. This ain’t over yet, my friends. I’ll personally be happily wearing my mask for years to come in many scenarios xo
Well, that’s quite the Saturday Share from me! I hope you don’t mind. Now, YOUR Saturday Share. I picked out some cards this week to spoke to me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
Amazing right?! These beautiful cards spoke to my soul, for one reason or another this week 🙂 Thank you for making them and sharing them with us.
Can we also take a moment to look at this? I found this photo (posted to FB by Ros Wood) so impressive and wanted to share it with you! Now if that doesn’t make you want to keep practicing, I don’t know what would! Very well done, Ros. And thank you for feeling brave enough to share your journey with us. You’re brilliant!
Right, that’s it from me! I’m going to Carpe Diem. I hope you do too!
Don’t forget to tune into the The Craft Store tomorrow! You can find the schedule (available for playback) here 🙂
Travel Gently…
Lotsa love, Grace xo

I too will be happy to wear a mask in shops etc. forever if it means keeping us safe. We really do not want a resurgence of the virus if it can be avoided.
You have picked out some lovely cards and it is lovely to see the progress Ros has made in such a short time. Well done Ros.
Enjoy yur weekend. Stay safe.
Looking forward to the shows tomorrow especially after seeing some of the sneaky peeks from the DT. I think the mini stamps will be falling in my basket to use along side some of the larger stamps that I already have. Realised today that I forgot to put yesterdays shows on to record so will go & watch again on rewind although it will be a while before they drop off the system.
I have been playing with my background stamps & butterflies on the small squares of stencil card ready for a session of colouring in during the week.
Lovely selection of art work again ,so many talented people .
Def need the small bird stamps , got ideas already buzzing round my head
Enjoy your weekend x
Today is NOT a day I want repeated any time soon!! I have had a house invasion of wood-mice ( I live with ancient woodland all around me) and after setting humane traps catching and releasing 9 of the sweet little things, I decided to find how they were getting in. So my day started with pulling out all of the kitchen appliances, pulling out the kickboards , vacuuming up many, many mouse-poos and then finding what I think was their entry both inside and outside the home, and stuffing wire wool and covering with tiles, bricks and all kinds of stuff. Also putting a sonic repeller under the sink. Then I saw one wee dead one and I can’t quite reach it to give it a decent burial (I can’t get right onto the floor -I’d never get up!!). So today is not one to repeat !! Yesterday though, Bea and I did Barb’s reflections lessons using the masks -now that’s a day to repeat!! It was great fun. We will have another session soon to do the next lesson.
I’m on catch up this week, just going to finish off Weds Shac Shac and then watch the shows – not sure what I’ve been doing, although did have a day out on Weds for MOT ! Just about managed to get my exchange out on time. Then, laughing to myself to see someone did the same card as me in those above – then realised it was the one I sent to Stephanie in the exchange ! There are so many beautiful cards etc. For inspiration. Look forward to the shows which I’ll have to catch up with as seeing Mum. Have a good weekend. X
Hey Jackie! Which Stephanie? There are two, I can re-label. Apologies!
Hi Grace, So glad you have completed everything on your previous apartment, you can now focus all your efforts on getting settled into your new apartment.
Fabulous samples shown here, as always I am in awe at the talent !!
I still haven’t been out, hubby does the supermarket shopping once a week and also works from home, we won’t be ‘going out’ any time soon, in fact it makes me anxious when I even think about it.
Take care.
Love from Patricia xx
What a thought provoking post Grace. I too have been so upset, reading about the situation in India and the plight of those poor people really does put things into perspective. We are blessed with the NHS, whose wonderful efforts helped to get us through the pandemic, but there are so many in the world who don’t have our advantages. I pray that they get the help they need.
I hope that you and Mark are now settled and will be happy in your new home. Enjoy the weekend and take care. With love Annette.
♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much for posting my one on here. I am so pleased that you liked it. xx
Hi Grace. Hope you are now settled in your new home and will be really happy there. Thank you for featuring my little progress piece. I was practice, practice, practice and getting no better. Watched numerous videos on YouTube and just wasn’t getting it until Paul showed us the scissors and that you could use either a spoon (like Barbara uses) or a fork position. I had been watching Barbara on most of the videos so was using the spoon position. Once I tried the fork I got it and at last getting a bit better! I thought I would post it in case others were having the same problem. Am loving Paul’s groovi tuesdays and learning so much. Xx
Love the cards Grace but I really love Carol’s card. Is there a pattern for this. Could Carol put it in a blog with details. Love the backing paper too. So beautiful
