A Share Fest!

Hello hello! Grace here

I hope this finds you safe, happy, and coping with the world?

Person by person I’ve been hearing of vaccination appointments; left, right and center. How BRILLIANT! My Mark’s parents are getting their vaccinations this and next week, Oma & Grandad are all sorted, Dave has had his first one. Now we wait for Mum and then the rest of us. But for every person who is getting it, there’s a whole host of people still waiting. It’s frustrating for those, I know, particularly in the US. I know way too many people MY age who seem to have managed to get one somehow and are boarding flights, whilst other elderly friends continue to wait.

I have to say the UK seems to be doing very well compared to here. The vaccination system is moving fast and generally in order, for the most part. Nice to see!! Here not so much… But this is just another test of our patience eh? I’m happy to wait in line for as long as it takes for young & healthy people to be eligible. I just wish the elderly and sick were the ones in front of me, not the well-connected and rich! But hey, sometimes squeaky wheels get oiled. If you’re struggling to get an appointment (for the vaccination or ANY health issues) but you’re in an eligible tier… KEEP PUSHING. It never ceases to amaze me how much more happens when you get a bit squeaky (not with us at Clarity though, thanks! hahah). Healthcare wise I mean… sometimes you really have to stand your ground, politely. There’s no reason to be rude to anyone, but perseverance and more perseverance are often the key to getting what you NEED. I find I’m usually the first to back down, and subsequently the last in most lines, just smiling politely at everyone whilst I hold the door open for them. Don’t let that be you! Not when it comes to your health and safety.

Sometimes you have to put your armor on, as my Mum says. Mark’s parents, for example, are only getting their vaccinations in the next week because he spent hours searching for a special link on their county website. Bish bash bosh! I wonder how long they would have had to wait otherwise.

I think it’s a little different in the UK. It does seem to be moving in order, and people patiently waiting is mostly working out. But I think we American-based folks might have to fight a little more for it once our tier is eligible. Shock horror (not).

Anyway, that’s my 2 cents! Rambling away πŸ˜‰ But maybe someone today needed that extra push to get back on the phone and push for what they need. Don’t give up!

In the meantime, in between time, I’ve been searching through Groovi Worldwide and Clarity Worldwide for your artwork! I didn’t have to look very far! In fact, a handful of you emailed your artwork TO me. Love that! And many of you have used Paul’s Groovi Tuesday or Josie’s Sunday Blog project last week as inspiration! Love that even more!

Please allow me to share with you some of my fave cards of the week!

Wow! How is it possible that your artwork wows me EVERY week. My computer is JAM PACKED with stunning artwork over the last year or so. A treasure chest, if you will.

Thank you for allowing me to share your beautiful artwork πŸ™‚ It brings me joy.

Ooooh! Speaking of sharing work and JOY… I’ve spent my weekends and evenings over the last couple of months designing a new website for my voice over work. I’m quite chuffed with it! If you fancy checking out what your girl does in her spare time, you can do so here πŸ˜€

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday! It’s very rainy and overcast here. Good thing I wasn’t going anywhere anyway! πŸ˜‰

Travel gently friends…

Lotsa love, Grace xo

Another great week for lovely projects showcased above, thanks for sharing them with us. Your new website looks fantastic & again a great showcase to show the world what you can do. I will listen more closely to the adverts in future to look out for the ones that you have done.
As a family all eligible people have had their 1st jabs with an age range of 16 to 92 so I feel very lucky but thankful to all the volunteers & NHS staff for the speed that the vaccine programme is rolling out. As long as we all stick to the rules for the next few months we should get through the pandemic & be able to meet up with family & friends again. There is a lot of hugging waiting to be done !!

Such amazing work, Grace. Thank you as always. A neighbour told me that, in England, when your group comes up, you can go on the NHS website, put in your NHS number and book your jab. You have to wait until your GP contacts you if you go via them but all the other centres like pharmacists, halls and racecourses take bookings online. The GPs have asked you not to ring until you are called as there are no spare slots with them. Your mum will be group 7, Grace, which is the next one.

Hi everyone. Grace tell you mum to go on the NHS website and book her own appointment. That’s what I did yesterday. I’m under the age group that they say but thought I’d give it a go to see how far I got. My test is tomorrow and I’ve got the 2nd one booked as well. I’m in west Sussex so not far from your mum.
Anyway great blog. Stay safe out there x

I have just watched the samples on your website Grace and I was wowed. Your voice is beautiful – so well modulated and with a lovely tone. I bet you wow the Americans!
Your mum is the same age as my brother and they should be hearing about their jabs any day now, so fingers crossed. It is amazing how emotional it feels when you are vaccinated. Looking forward to a safe and happy world in the not too distant future. X

    Stunning artwork.
I had my jab end of January and hubby beginning of February, 5 minute drive from home. Very efficient, no hanging about. Some people still waiting for the call, but if they are in the vulnerable groups I agree with you, they should push. Your mum should be in the next group. I sincerely hope that the anti-vaxers change their minds, that others obey the rules and that we don’t have another lockdown.
Lovely birthday card received this morning from Clarity, thanks everyone, brightened my day. Bright sunshine this morning, so cheering to feel the sun so warm. Hubby is cooking, the bubbly is in the fridge, so all in all I can say am having a good day.
    Take care everyone, stay safe.

Hi Grace, I think the vaccination process her in the UK is brilliant, my hubby and I went for ours together last Wednesday and the set-up was brilliant. I hope that you all get yours, be patient and stick to the rules and maybe this will be the last lockdown, fingers crossed.
Wow Wow Wow, this work showcased here is stunning !! I am in awe at so much elegance.
    Take care, enjoy your weekend.
    Love from Patricia xx

Thank you so much for choosing my picture out of so many amazing cards this week. I’m really chuffed! Your website looks (and sounds) great. I usually fast forward through adverts when I can (sorry 😏) but when I have to watch them I’m always going to be listening out for your voice now πŸ™‚. Hope your Mum gets her jab soon. We’re just waiting for our second one now.xx
