Stuart’s Friday Blog

Hi there, blog readers. It’s Friday, and I’ll let you into a little secret – I’m not actually in the office today. Boy child is 3 today so we thought we’d all take the day off and take him to the park to play on his new scooter. So Barbara Clare Brown’s card below is rather suitable. Although I suppose at 3 he’s not really a baby boy any more. Which is certainly nice. Far be it from me to begrudge parenting through every age and every stage – but I must say, I do have a particular fondness for little teeny babies. They are all so scrumptious and dinky and nice. I do love babies! 3-year olds are good too 😉

Groovi SHAC project #43 by Barbara Clare Brown

So, thanks to Barbara for her interpretation of last week’s project. This week’s Groovi SHAC is a buttery birthday design. I have birthday’s on my mind this month, you see. Five birthday’s of significance for me in February so a birthday card it is!

By the way, did you know that the collective noun for butterflies is a ‘rabble’? I think that’s quite amusing. I think of a rabble as being a group of people up to no good or being a bit rowdy… So it seems rather funny to use it to describe dainty, delicate, little butterflies. Although, if you’re ever encompassed by a few of them going nuts around a Buddleia you might find it easier to understand why they are called a rabble.

If you happen to be new to the Groovi SHAC projects, may I also direct you to the page on our website where you can download EVERY single project we’ve produced so far! https://claritystamp.com/pages/groovi-shac

It’s a really great place because you can simply dip in and out of projects at will and have a go at whichever projects you please.

Well, I think that will do from me. I hope you managed to enjoy Barbara’s Mixed Media Friday show on HOCHANDA earlier today. Don’t worry if you didn’t though, Barb will be back for one more hour at 1pm and if you read Tuesday’s blog, you’ll know it really is a show full of sublime artwork, creative projects and super new products designed by Cherry Green. Really, really worth a watch.

Anyway, by for now and see you next time!

Stuart

Should also have said happy if it is the same because we can rearrange it to make it different. Will give me time to do more work on Paul’s groovi Tuesday before groovi Sunday comes along.

Hi Guys! You are correct, this is a duplicate of project #3! Unfortunately Stuart is out of the office today, so we can’t yet correct this. But I’m sure he will fix this on Monday and you’ll have a fresh project! Apologies for the inconvenience! Grace xoxo

Hi Stuart, Hope you had great weather for the park and everyone had fun. Congratulations on the sell out – twice! Great shows but I hope the bus will be kept in for some fine tuning, so the driver can relax after all the prep for today. That raku party needs more pots.

Ah! I thought I’d done this one, not done them all by a long chalk but definitely this one, even twice I think ! A rabble of butterflies? They’re too delicate to be a rabble surely ! LOL !! That’s more for the magpies and naughty birds. We’ve been having fly pasts from the kites today, really low. I like a baby to cuddle and hand back and the same for a toddler ! Need to catch up on today’s shows now x

I haven’t heard of a collective of butterflies being called a ‘rabble’, somehow doesn’t seem right somehow haha.
