S is for Sharing

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope this finds you well?

I’m sure you were worried about my Mum yesterday. Trust me, we were too. Not fun to watch someone you love struggling, especially from so far away. Helpless is the word that comes to mind! But how beautiful was it to see Paul and Dave come flying through the door? We were all communicating with each other immediately, from around the world, jumping to action where possible. The love and care surrounding her is quite clear.

And I’ve got to give it to her, she persevered, didn’t she? She got herself right back to her normal self by the end! And still did a fabulous job despite it all. That’s who she is. If you know my Mum at all, you know that about her already. And asking Paul for just a cup of tea as he came flying through the door, full of concern, sums it all up. She works harder than anyone we know… trust me. But she’s going to take next week off. I’m sure you all understand that. Nay, SUPPORT that. But I can tell you that she is doing much better, we’re keeping an eye on her and she is taking it easy! We can all breathe a sigh of relief 🙂

She’s about as lovable as it gets!

Now… can I also just say that there is TOO MUCH fantastic work online this week. Picking a handful of art to share with you has been extra difficult! There’s just epic card after epic card… You can check them ALL out here and here.

But here’s a particularly epic selection to share with you…

Blimey! What a talented community you are. Mind blowing really.
Make sure to check in tomorrow for Clarity’s Groovi Sunday! It’s another FAB project.

Happy Saturday!

Travel gently…

Lotsa love, Grace xo

What a lovely photograph of you and your mum❤️ Thank heavens for technology as that’s what we rely on at the moment to keep in touch. I’m glad she’s has been persuaded to take a break she works so hard. Clarity is a superb Company and it’s down to your mum who has worked so hard for it. Take care and stay safe.

Thank you for choosing my card. I was making it during the Moment of Clarity session and it just seemed appropriate for your Mum, Paul and Dave.
She is amazing, your mum. (I know you know that!) I loved the way she asked Paul if there was something wrong, totally oblivious to 300-odd people worrying about her on Facebook. I’m glad to know she’ll be taking it easy for a week and getting back to 100%.
Take care and stay safe xx

Glad to hear your Mum is feeling better, it was worrying to see. I thought she was going to pass out! It’s such a relief as you start to feel better after a funny turn like that. I hope she makes the most of next week and isn’t a picking and a packing – bet she is though knowing her ! Unless Dave can get a strait jacket of course ! Beautiful work as always, it’s great to see how everyone does things differently too. Have a good weekend x x

Hi Grace, Glad to see your blog, having been checking since I got back from having my jab at lunch time & was hoping all was well in the Clarity household. Thanks for letting us know how your mom is – I thought of you watching from NY whist we were watching from here – I don’t think many of us were actually crafting along with your Mom – we were all holding our breath waiting for Paul to get there & then all your Mom could say was ” Oh Hello is something wrong ?” As you say a real trooper but I am glad she has listened to you all & is having a week off next week. A few of us have been suggesting it for a couple of weeks. I am sure we can all find plenty to keep us occupied – we will have had our club projects by then as well as the Groovi projects to do.
What a great selection of cards again this week – always amazes me how many different designs are achieved by the same products. I tried the one with the Tulips & couldn’t understand why I had so much space either side then realised I had done it straight on to the card rather than a topper – still ok though & I coloured the tulips as well.
Take care & thanks again for you weekly share blog xx

Thans for the update on your Mom Grace.
Pleased that she has so may people looking out for her. Understandable as she is such a beautiful, kind and caring person. Happy to know that she is taking a break, just hope she won’t rush back too soon!
If you are reading this Barbara (sure you are!) heed your own advice and “Travel Gently”. Enjoy the lovely artwork that Grace has chosen and be proud that you are the inspiration for so much amazing work. (Be proud of your beautiful daughter too…I know you are!)

    Hi Grace,
Thank you for letting us know about your Mum and so pleased that she is OK. Yes we were worried for her and all she kept doing was apologising. Just wanted to give her a big hug. So pleased when Paul and Dave arrived.

Thank You for the news on your Mum, Grace. As you saw from all the comments we were all so worried, Paul and Dave were fabulous, riding in like knights in shinning armour. I personally breathed a sigh of relief when I heard their voices.
Please tie her down for a few days…. Since my health problems, She has kept me going giving me focus and showing me I can do it.

Hi Grace, Thank you so much for the update on your Mum. Like you, we were so worried about her and felt so helpless. She is a real trooper, I’ll give her that!
Now she needs to “Travel Gently” and to forget about picking and packing orders.

So glad to hear that your Mum is doing ok – she had us all worried there for a while! To be honest, I was hoping that you weren’t watching, as I can’t begin to imagine the sense of helplessness that you must have felt, so I hope you’ve recovered too.

I am honoured to see that you’ve picked my card for your gallery – when I see the outstanding quality of all the work posted, it must be such a difficult task to have to choose just a handful.

So relieved to be reading this, thank you Grace for keeping us in the loop. Yes, it must have been so worrying for you so far away. The past year has taken its toll on so many and I think we’re all surprised your lovely Mum has kept doing what she’s done for so long. Thank goodness she is going to have a rest enabled by the huge support network she has. When you talk to her give her my love and best wishes for a speedy recovery. I’ve just received the new plate mate (only ordered Thursday) so I’m going to have fun tomorrow. Bye for now Grace and thank you

Thank you Grace for letting us all know. I was so relieved when first Paul arrived, then Dave, then Dave replied to my query on the worldwide page. We have all become even more fond of your mum over the last year. I have always respected and admired her artistic and generous nature, but through the Shac really feel as if I have gained many friends, led by the bus driver..silly really as she won’t know me. So relieved she is recovering, and resting. Much love. Janette xx

Thank you for the update on your Mum. After all that your Mum has done to help keep us all well, occupied and giving us a belief that we can all be artists in our own way it was hard for us watching at home wanting to get her help, it was such a relief to us and I am sure to hear Paul and Dave arrive. Please tell your Mum to take it easy and not to rush onto the bus too soon we will all be waiting and supporting her from a distance. It is down to your Mum that all the lovely art work you have shared today has been produced. Take care everyone stay safe and well.

I completely understand the helplessness… My wife is getting over Covid and 2 weeks in suffered a life threatening anaphylaxis. I have never been so scared in my life. Fortunately the response from 999 was excellent. A night in Resus and she’s on the mend finally.
All I can say is thank goodness for crafting my happy and chilled out place between caring for poorly wife. Love to all xx

Hi Grace. I hope Barbara is feeling a bit better now and that the week off will help or longer if she needs it. She has been pushing herself too hard but as you say that is who she is. We are all so grateful for the time, love and humour she brings too us! She has helped so many off us in this terrible time and I know she is missing you all too! Give her our love and tell her that we will all be on the bus still when she feels like driving us again. xx

I hadn’t checked on either blog in several days and was shocked to read about your Mum. It must have been terrifying for you. I’d been wondering how anyone could possibly handle the amount of work she does, let alone the home and family commitments. Glad to read that she is finally taking a week off. Hope that she gets lots of time walking in the woods, playing with the kittens and playing with clay.
