Rainbows in the Windows 🌈

Hi everybody, Jordan here. How are we all keeping? Very well, I hope. Or at least, very well given the circumstances 🙂

I’ve just completed my first week of working from home. It’s been quite difficult, but it’s doable! I’m part of such a caring and accommodating team, and that has become even more obvious during these trying times. We’ve been meeting as a team online each morning with our Barb, getting on the same page with work, catching up and just generally being there for each other. It makes everything so much easier. I really am so lucky to be surrounded by such thoughtful colleagues. Thank you, all.

I’ve been trying to get up and do some exercise every couple of hours too. Just to stretch out a bit and feel less constrained. I must fight the urge to eat all the chocolate and crisps in the house, too!

Here are some helpful tips from the British Heart Foundation to help you keep healthy in self-isolation –

BHF – How to keep healthy while you’re self-isolating

Also, I’ve seen there’s been a recent trend among those isolated at home to put up a home-made rainbow in their window – as a mark of respect to the key workers in the NHS and elsewhere who are still tirelessly and bravely going to work, and to just generally bring some positivity and light to their neighbor’s views. What a beautiful idea! The rainbows remind us all that there is hope and light to follow even after dark times. There’s always a rainbow just around the corner, isn’t there 🌈

Why not craft up a rainbow of your own, put it in your window and send us a pic! Send your pictures to gallery@claritystamp.com 🙂

Clarity Matters. It really does.

Until tomorrow, all. Let’s stay Safe, Happy and Creative, shall we?

We are keeping well and happy indoors, crafting away merrily. Every hour or so get up to stretch and do a small chore (my exercise – ha.ha) then back to doing what we love.
Rainbows are everywhere and will soon be followed by the hearts that Millie Marotta has drawn for the Mail on Saturday for colouring and hanging in the window in support of the NHS who deserve all the support we can give them, even if it is just staying indoors.
Keep well, keep smiling, keep crafting. We will get through this crisis.

I was walking this morning and saw a few rainbows in windows. I decided to draw one in chalk on my driveway. Not exactly a great work of art, but it was nice to get out in the sun.

Thank you Cherry T for the mention of Millie Marotta’s heart. It’s a beautiful image that will be fun to color.

Chocolate and Crisps!!! Lucky you!! I’m in isolation and now Tesco will only deliver 80 items per delivery and I have one due 7th April for myself and my neighbour -so human treats will have to go in favour of dog treats!! 80 sounds a lot but for 2 separate people for 2 weeks it isn’t so much. Just hope they have fresh fruit and veg this time as I do miss fruit!! Not a lot of point putting a rainbow up where I live -no-one would see it!

You will get your full order, if you leave it unchanged – Tesco only make you reduce it to 80 items if you edit it or put it in after they made that rule.

It is not about seeing the heart – you and we will know it is there, as will any NHS staff who have to come to you, if needed. Hearts are not only available from The Mail but direct from the publishers https://www.pavilionbooks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Millie-Marotta-Love-NHS.pdf Hope you enjoy colouring it. Of course, what we really need are instructions from someone who knows how to print it on parchment and really turn it into something groovi.

I’ve just printed the download onto a piece of parchment instead of paper. Seems to have printed out ok

Thanks Jordan for doing this blog, just catching up – not sure where yesterday went. I did check first thing but was too early !!
My daughter says its harder working from home on your own than people think. She has done 2 weeks now as she had to self isolate because of underlying health issues for herself & daughter. Things have been gradually put into place to make things easier – like you they have team meetings via video calls. I think it is a steep learning curve for all workplaces.
Thankfully I have plenty of hobbies & stash to keep me occupied – might even get the OH crafting if things go on for any great length of time.
