Clarity Community Chest

Hi everyone, Jordan here. I hope you’re all keeping well during these difficult times.

Have you been working from home, or will you be in the coming weeks? We’d love to hear from you below; what do you plan to add into your working routines? What radio station or music do you listen to whilst working from home? Perhaps a short walk on lunchtime, if you’re near a green space? (only if it’s deemed safe, of course). Maybe you’re going to use this time to eat healthier lunches at home? Cooking? Baking?

And Crafting, of course! What projects have you put on your horizons? Do you plan on using this time to start a new adventure in Craft?

Making a plan to start some new Crafting endeavours might be just the thing to see you through the coming weeks. Share your plans with us! And with the other Clarity Crafters, who read our blogs, buy our products, see us at our events and engage with each other in our online communities. Our Groovi Worldwide and our Clarity Worldwide Facebook communities are teeming with caring and thoughtful Clarity Crafters. Use these spaces!

Perhaps this is a good time to start up a Craft Journal? It’s a fantastic way to manage your worries and concerns, and be creative in the process. I posted a few blogs here last year on that very subject; if you’re interested, have a read of those just below;

Journey’s End

Here’s another idea; Barb’s blog is full of inspirational step by step projects, featuring an incredibly wide array of products and designs. Use the search bar on her blog to find an older step-by-steps with a Clarity product you already own and try out a new project!

Here’s how;

1. Use the search bar on the right of the screen. Use the product name you’re interested in as the search term. I have searched for ‘Garden Groovi’ here.
2. Scroll through the search results for a post that piques your interest.
3. Click on the post you want, et voila! Have a good read of a blog post from yesteryear, and have fun working through the step by step project.

I have just read that the Royal Mail has stated that it’s still safe for you to send out your Mother’s Day cards. So that’s good news for all the mums πŸ™‚ This also means you could reach out to those you know have had to self isolate, and send them a beautiful hand-made card! Show them that we’re all thinking of each other in these trying times.

We will be keeping you up to date and informed with all things Claritystamp in the foreseeable future. This here blog and our Barb’s Blog will be posting daily, as ever. So any up to date information will be right here for you. We will also be maintaining our buzzing social media presence, so keep an eye on our Facebook pages, too.

Remember – we’re here to keep you company. We want you to stay Safe, Happy and Creative.

Clarity Matters. It really does.

Until next time.

Jordan x

My new cat dies and Groovi plates arrived today, so my first crafty task is to make thank you cards, and then I am going to Groovi all my plates from no. 1 design club to present and make a catalogue. I knew there was a reason I’d bought all that parchment paper!

Hello Jordan and the Clarity team

At the moment I can’t get up any enthusiasm for self-isolation. I live alone and I know I have my Craft but I don’t cope with change easily and someone has moved my goalposts. I know it will be fine once I get my head round it. The greedy morons emptying the shelves don’t help anybody’s situation. I keep telling myself it isn’t a brain tumour and, as I can’t change things, I just have to go with it.

    Stay safe everyone
    Love

As long as we can keep in contact through the blogs & facebook pages there will be plenty to keep us going with all the various challenges being set up. So much so that we won’t have time to think about anything else !!
I have just spoken to my 91 year old mother who has set herself up with the timer to ping every hour so that she then gets up & walks into the kitchen to get a drink of water & then go & do something different. She has set up a jigsaw on her dining room table, she is knitting baby blankets & jackets for the premature babies, she has puzzles on her ipad, a puzzle book & catching up with programmes she has missed on the TV using iplayer & itv hub. If the weather is fine she will go for a walk up the garden to stretch her legs. I took her plenty of food in on Tuesday so she has a goodie bag to work her way through so hopefully she will be ok. In fact she seems more organised than I am !!
Take care everyone & we will get through this as long as we stay positive & not worry about the things that we have no control over.

self isolation doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t mind staying in when it’s my choice, but being told to do it goes against the grain.
Anyway whilst Royal Mail is still delivering I’ll get my Easter cards sent (that’s if I can get the stamps!)
    Much nicer than an e-mail.
Got a big parcel from Clarity this morning so will have plenty to do when I can just work up the enthusiasm.
Stay well and keep safe everyone

I agree it’s all a bit weird. I’m working from home, whilst listening to Radio 3, but struggling to step away from the computer (I’m only part-time self-employed) and do things for myself.

Last night I reviewed my age-old list of crafty projects. First on the list is a Mother’s Day card, and then working through some half-started card projects. This is probably the time to make my black velvet coat, and other bits and pieces of black concert dress, in the hope that things later in the summer still go ahead.

Oh yes, Christmas cards – good time to start those; maybe some Easter cards as well this year. It’s weird having most of my church commitments cancelled – with the exception of our support to the homeless and vulnerable.

When I simply can’t stir myself from the sofa, I’ve got lots of knitting I can do!

Keep smiling everyone, we have our craft supplies, and each other
    Claire x

p.s. Don’t forget the price of stamps goes up on Monday 23rd March.

As we are both in the high risk category we started self isolating last Sunday. In practise it has not been so different from normal except that with fewer interruptions we have got a lot of jobs done. We will be shopping early morning once a week instead instead of twice, what we can’t find on the shelves we will go without, makes for inventive cookery !!! The butcher has offered to deliver our meat. The postie left a Clarity parcel on the step, stood back, pointed to it and gave us a wave. Amazon did the same.
Maybe I am weird but I am actually finding this fun, my mojo is prompting me to get out the oil paints now the conservatory is clear, I have lots of stamped images to watercolour, and loads of Groovi parchment pieces done in the evenings for colouring in daylight.
Now that the days are getting longer I am definitely perking up.
    Take care everyone πŸ’

I’m doing samples. Then when those are done, I’m planning lessons for when we all get let out again! Might take a little turn round the garden in the sunshine in a few minutes too.

It’s difficult but I keep telling myself it’s doable, isolation that is, crafting well I had a rather large delivery from Clarity so lots of plates to play with, hubby been doing work in the garden so will be nice to sir in when warm enough, trying in my mind to break everything down into small pieces, shower, make up, hair, breakfast, walk round garden, an hour groovi, lunch, another walk etc etc I find for me it helps, stay safe everyone xx
