On This Day…

Hey folks, Jordan here. Good weekend?

Hands up, who likes a bit of radio on the old commute? I love to tune into a bit of Radio 4 at about 7.30 on my way into the office. Did you know that on this day in 1967, BBC Radio 1 was launched, as well as Radio 2, 3 and 4 all being re-branded? How neat is that? I do love a useless fact.

In other news, for those of you who didn’t know, we were running an Open Day and a Workshop in Leyburn over the weekend. The events went really well and we were delighted to share the occasion with so many other happy crafters.

Customers have been in touch through social media saying how much they enjoyed the events and we LOVE to hear all those types of comments. It seems as though a few people have used the opportunity to try a new product for the first time… After all, we now sell not just stamps, but stencils, Groovi Plates, Fresh Cut Dies & Pergamano.

So, if you were at one of the events at Leyburn, why not let us know if you tried something new for the first time, or if you bought a product you’d never used before. We’d love to hear from you.

Barbara & Paul heading up the workshop in Leyburn.

Clarity matters. It really does.

Until tomorrow, Crafters.

I, together with my BF Anne, attended both days at Leyburn and we had a total blast! Great atmosphere in the busy room on Saturday where Barbara and ‘Clarity Crew’ kept us entertained, informed and educated with lots of laughs and the fab raffle prizes were well worth winning (unfortunately we weren’t lucky). Spent lots but did, for once stick to my shopping list! Sunday’s Groovi workshop was also fab, Linda Williams was missed but totally understand ‘life happens’ and you just have to be where you need to be when it does. Barbara, Paul, Tina, Heather and of course Dave kept everything upbeat and the beautiful project Linda had designed for us was totally ‘nailed’ by Barbara who did confess to much amusement that she was so happy Linda had given her step by step instructions to follow and had kept it ‘simple’…stunning is the word I’d choose! Thanks again one and all involved for making the event(s) possible and Linda we’re all thinking of you and wishing you the best, take care xx

I was at the open day on Saturday. Didn’t try or buy anything new to me but it was good to see first hand what things look like in real life. 2 dies I didn’t like the look of on the web site look sooo much nicer when you see them demonstrated. (And yes I bought one and my friend bought the other….)

    Evening,
I attended both days with four other members of the East Northants Groovi Group and we all sported our ‘Tina’ t-shirts. We had a fabulous two days and although we missed Linda at the workshop, Barbara more than stepped up to the plate, aided by Paul and Tina. The design and teaching were superb.

As for trying something new, I bought (amongst other things) some paint to try again one of the projects from the Retreat. The alcohol inks, paint, stencil and gelli plate one. So far I haven’t been very successful and I am hoping, using the same paint as Barbara, things will improve.
    Love,
    Roz.xxx

Thoroughly enjoyed the two days and learned how to colour the wee bird properly! Did try copying the wee blue tits a while ago but missed a few steps! Loved both days and am watching Leonie playing with Cherry Green’s stamps which I won in the raffle. Fantastic prizes. Thank you for a great couple of days. You must all be exhausted!

A fabulous weekend at Leyburn, Saturday the hall was buzzing with everyone eager to see the 7 demonstrations that were taking place plus the make & take & the snip clinic. Something for everyone with the hourly raffle prizes as an added bonus. Those 7 hours flew by. Sunday’s workshop was also great. Many thanks to Linda Williams for designing the plate & doing the step by step instructions to help us complete the project when we got home as during the day we worked on all the techniques needed. My colouring skills have improved as I had to take the plunge & colour on the front as well as the back. I couldn’t believe the difference. Thanks to Barbara for stepping in & leading the workshop & to Paul & Tina for being on hand to help those that needed it. Just sorry that Linda couldn’t be there but quite understand that she needed to be elsewhere. Now to plan next years road trip !!

I attended both fabulous days at Leyburn. Spent an absolute fortune on Saturday but I’d saved up for it! The things I am looking forward to trying out are the mirror mist and making the bookmarks and baubles on the acrylic shapes. Bought the acrylic paint as well so will enjoy trying them out on the acrylic. Also managed to achieve a passable fluffy cardinal on Sunday so was well chuffed with that as when I tried to do a fluffy penguin it looked more like an albino hedgehog!!! Thanks to all involved with making the weekend such a success.
