Saturdays are the best!

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope this finds you safe, happy and creative on my favourite day of the week.

Out of interest, what’s your favourite day of the week? And why? Saturday seems obvious to me, as it’s the first day of the weekend. Sunday comes with those pesky ‘Sunday scaries’. Have you heard that phrase before? It’s quite popular here in the states, but recently a UK friend hadn’t heard of it. It’s a term that has become popular in recent years.

Definition: The Sunday Scaries are the heavy sense of anxiety and dread that sets in on Sunday afternoon or evening as you look toward the workweek ahead.

Well, Saturday doesn’t have THAT. And we get to showcase your beautiful artwork on this day. So I’m sticking with Saturday myself! But perhaps your favourite day is different… since retirement? Or perhaps there’s a reason you love Mondays! Or like Mum, you get to do something like pottery on a particular day. I reckon some of you like Thursdays most… **Cough SHAC Shack Cough cough** I certainly don’t get the SS’s as much these days since starting to work for Clarity. Working from home helps too!

I’m sure I’m not the only Saturday girl though. I’m glad we get to touch base on the best day every week, though I’m trying to feel grateful for every day of the week these days.

Thank you for all of your lovely messages on my last blog. It’s been a testing couple of weeks, but we’re coming out the other side of it a little fragile but stronger. Add Dave’s health scare to the mix, and we really needed the love. He’s doing alright and slowing down for awhile. As a family we appreciate all of the love and good wishes, and we’re sending you love and hugs right back <3 Traveling gently as they say…

Now, have a look at the glorious cards that spoke to my soul this week. Looky looky…

Karine Picard
Cathy Staden
Ann Varney
Elisa Beguile
Phillippa Winter McCartney
Sue Carpenter
Lyn Eustace
Lesley Earing
Kath Peace
Julia Ranger

I’m sure you agree with me that these cards are suuuper special. Could you imagine receiving one of these works of art? What a gift! In fact, no gifts necessary when the card looks like these! 😉

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous artwork on Clarity Worldwide & Groovi Worldwide, our online communities. You keep us going! See you tomorrow for our weekly blog tutorial with the fabulous Jane Telford.

Travel gently friends…

Lotsa love, Grace xo

Beautiful cards as always Grace, and thank you for putting mine in the mix! I’m glad you are starting to come through the other side but do give yourself time!!!! I know your mum definately need a bit of her and Dave time at the mo, she really worked her socks off at the retreat when I’m absolutely sure she didn’t want to and really shouldnt have been there! Hopefully she will take a few days off.
At the moment all of my days seem to be blurring into one so a favourite day doesn’t seem to happen but if i could choose it would probably be a Friday the anticipation of a weekend was always the best when i was working.
Stay safe Grace and take care of you xxxxx

Hi Grace, thank you for choosing my artwork this week, not only as part of the showcase but to head your page as well. Glad you are feeling a little more settled but no doubt Dave’s turn messed that up a bit. I don’t think we realise how much the last 18 months has affected us all but for those with a business to keep going because of the knock on to other people even more so. Lets hope that things will start to get better soon so that your Mom & Dave can step back a bit & let others do the work. Perhaps they both need an elf apprentice to pass their knowledge on to. Its hard showing some else the ropes as you often think I could have done that myself in half the time but it has to be done so that the younger generation learn the tricks & tips.
As to which day is my favourite one – I think the week blends in to one now that I am retired – the weekends don’t seem quite the same except that is when we can see family that are still working.
Will pop in tomorrow to see what Jane has lined up for us.
    Enjoy your weekend xx

Hi Grace, I truly would be ‘over the moon’ to receive any of these creations, they are awesome !!
When I was working, Saturday was my favourite day of the week, but when I retired in 2011 any day was the best day of the week haha, then my hubby started back to work ‘again’ early last year and he has been working from home ever since, so now my favourite day of the week is Friday afternoon, he finishes work at lunchtime on a Friday, and it is brilliant.
    Take care.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Beautiful work everyone. My favourite day now I’m retired is Monday ! Never heard of the Sunday scaries BUT I know what it means ! Always needed something easy to watch on Sunday tv to ease me into Monday. Glad Dave is recovering well. Sounds like the retreats were, as always, a great success and enjoyed by all. Have a good rest of the weekend without too much scary Sunday! If you enjoy your job it helps and i admit I did mine. X

Love to see everyone’s beautiful cards. I have to admit that I don’t have a favourite day of the week – now I’m retired I sometimes lose track of what day it is, so difficult to have a favourite…!! 🤣
