Is it Saturday already?!

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope this finds you safe, well and happy!

As many of you know, we have been moving apartments this week. Boy oh boy!! I AM TIRED.

Someone earlier this week told me that the 3 most stressful things in life are: Death, Divorce & Moving. I laughed and told them that that’s sort of extreme. 4 days later and I am in full agreement. I’d taking moving over the other two, for sure! But it’s earned its place next to them 😉

You’ll be glad to know that I’m writing this from my new Clarity office, with a distant view of the Freedom Tower. It’s overcast today, so I will save the photos for another time, and get back to unpacking. I can’t wait to share them with you!

I’m going to keep today short. Out of respect for England’s beloved Prince Philip. His funeral at St George’s Chapel is live in the background as I type this. And I think we should keep the focus on him.
Rest in Peace Prince Philip!

I just wanted to make sure I checked in with you, friends, to let you know that all is well. And I’ll be back tomorrow with our lovely Clarity’s Groovi Sunday project 🙂

Lotsa love, Grace xo

Glad you made it to your new place. Hope it doesn’t take too long to get unpacked and find all the essentials.

Moving is definitely harrowing at anytime. Add on the fact that this place was left FILTHY by the previous occupants and as we cleaned we found things the surveyor had missed, it’s no wonder we were traumatised for months. Hope you get organised soon and are able to relax and enjoy your new home.
Sad about Prince Philip, he will be sorely missed by the Queen. I feel for her.
    Stay safe.

Glad you have moved safely and hope you are both happily settled soon.

It is right to leave it there when people are thinking about the Queen but other people have got married or had babies or done all the other things in life and I wish them all well.

Hi Grace, I’m so glad your move is over and that you got through it OK.
I watched the whole funeral of Prince Philip, it was so emotional, and I am so glad that the Queen got through it, to be with your husband for over 70 years she must be devastated to lose him, I hope that the Family do rally round and help her through as they have promised. My heart goes out to her. I was hoping that Prince Philip would reach 100 and get a card from his Wife the Queen, but sadly that was not to be. Prince Philip has done so much good in this World, and he will be sadly missed. RIP.
    Stay safe, stay well.
    Love from Patricia xx

Hi Grace, glad the move went ok & hope you will be very happy in your new apartment. We watched the funeral this afternoon which I thought was just what Prince Philip wanted, a quiet family funeral but with a touch of formality expected for someone of his standing. I met him briefly in Buckingham Palace when I went to the D of E Award ceremony in 1973, having recently got married I took my husband with me but our moms came with us & watched us go in from the outside the railings of the Palace. I had done the award through the Birmingham Banks so there was a large group of us to which Prince Philip asked who was looking after all the money whilst we were there !!
Will catch up with you tomorrow for Groovi Sunday.

Hi Gace I am so glad your move has gone well, I know just how stressful it is my husband was n the Army and I packed up and moved 38 times from one country to another, not a bad record, but I loved the life, I hope you and Mark will be very happy in your new home. Like Cherry T every qurter we moved into was filthy, I came to the conclusion that the housing people knew that I would clean it up . In all the years I was never charge for even a dish cloth and always got an excellent report..
My thoughts and prayers, go out to the Queen and all her family may God Bless them and give them the strength at this time.
