Sharing Saturday!

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope this finds you well, safe & healthy!

I don’t know about you, but this week has felt a little different. A little more hopeful. A little more positive. Perhaps it’s the feeling of Spring starting to creep in, or perhaps it’s simply my Mum getting her first jab. It’s a small light at the end of the tunnel type-feeling, and I’m all for whatever means I can visit home soon. Even a bit of warmth and sunshine in Brooklyn would be welcome! It’s still cold, but you can feel it coming…

We had some good news too this week, my Mark and I have been approved by the Condo Board, so the move to our BEAUTIFUL new apartment in April is officially OFFICIAL. I CANNOT WAIT!!

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love this apartment that we’ve lived in together for 2 years. I am grateful for the roof over my head. It’s been our first home together. And boy were we excited to move in here too! It’s massive, as far as New York apartments go… but if it’s not been the heat that’s broken, it’s the AC. And if it’s not a leak in the bathroom, it’s a leak in the office, or better yet water p***ing out of the bedroom ceiling, or mold mushrooms growing out of my office floor (they did a good job of covering up everything up before we moved in!). All of that adds up stress wise I think, like real resentment around other people letting the side down. We pay rent in full, on time, we’re good people and good tenants! But our management company has been nothing short of a scam… Don’t you hate that feeling when you’ve been tricked and ripped off? They’re very good at it too, so there’s only been so much we could do about it. SO we’ve been paaaaatiently waiting for our 2 year lease to end so we could bounce immediately… We went and viewed an apartment in January, ‘waaaay too early’. And yet, that is the very same apartment we will be moving into. And I AM SO EXCITED for our next chapter!

I feel hopeful. Like life IS going to be okay again, and we WILL all be able to gather again safely in the near future. We just have to keep moving in the right direction, bit by bit, vaccine by vaccine. Anyone else feel a little differently this week too? It can’t be just me! It’s like a cloud has started to lift. I feel it with my Mum too, she seems lighter and brighter as well. I hope we’re not alone! Maybe there is something in the air 😉

To make the week even lighter and brighter, it’s time to share some beautiful cards with you!

Great news for you and Mark moving to a new apartment, how lovely for you both. April will be here before you know it Grace. Wish you both all the best. We have been on the look out for another house but not that many on the market at present.

Fantastic inspiration from everyone again this week.
Great news about your move – exciting times ahead for you & Mark. April is not far away, the first week of March is nearly over already.
29 March means that we can meet some of our family in the garden which will be great – although it will be even better when we can have a proper hug but at least we can go & see their new house & advise what is what in the garden before they chop it all down because it looks dead but also to help reassure our one granddaughter who is getting very anxious about going back to school & worrying about things before they have even happened. The Vaccine is one more step to getting back to ”normal” – roll on the summer

All very beautiful cards again Grace and really glad you are going to be moving to the apartment of your choice very soon.
Things do certainly seem brighter than they did, vaccines are happening and slowly we are going to start to come out of lockdown hopefully to some kind of normality, fingers crossed this will be the last lockdown.
I think my word for all these cards would be absolutely “exquisite” as they always are, so many talented people.
Stay safe and enjoy your weekend xx

Inspirational cards, all are beautiful. I am feeling more optimistic for the year ahead, baby steps though. I hope people are sensible as we slowly come out of lockdown. I would like a good summer spending as much time with all my kids and their families. How I want to hug and play with the little grandchildren. Sounds like you are certainly ready to move, I hope all goes well. We might have to move yet, we have a neighbour who is trying very hard to make life miserable for us, shame we have been here 20 years and everyone else is great so we are not rushing into anything yet. xx

Best of luck with your new home! I used to love moving! Every four years I was getting itchy feet and wanting to move…. We moved a total of 9 times over the years! I have now been in the same home for 14 years! I feel settled here now and I also feel too old to be moving again!
Thank you for all of your hard work!

I know this word has been used a lot but INSPIRATIONAL is definitely the word I would choose because when my mojo has left the building I only need to look on Clarity or Groovi Facebook and I am inspired.

Hi Grace, exciting news about the move April will be here before you know it. My Grandmother, bless her, never decorated she just moved, every two years without fail even if it was to a property she’d been in before! Had my jab on Friday and just feeling ropey, nothing serious, just ropey but it gives me hope and confidence towards going out and about again in May after the second one. My word for all the beautiful artwork you show each week is simply inspirational. I know several people have used this word but that’s what it is to all of us. Hope you have a good week xx

Just WOW!!!!!!!! All fab cards and nice to see non-Groovi cards a bit more too. We see them on Sunday and as I’m not a groovi addict, I love the stamped and stencilled cards the best and find inspiration from them. If I had to use a ‘proper’ word it would be ‘Inspirational’.
