Woodland Walks & a One Special

Hi there, Steven here.

I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far? If haven’t yet made any plans today, we’ve got just the thing to keep your busy and entertained.

Let me tell you what’s to come…

As ever, every first Sunday of the month we have a bumper line-up on HOCHANDA. Today’s no different. Starting at 2-4pm Barbara will be taking you on a journey through the woods with the launch of brand new Trees & Woodland Walk Mixed Impressions Stamps. Many of you will be familiar with our brilliant and versatile mixed impressions stamps and these are no exception. Barbara will guide you through some glorious demonstrations, including essential tips and tricks, for two hours of stamping spectacular on HOCHANDA.

Before this afternoon’s shows, I’ll be setting off on a woodland walk of my own. Every Sunday I look forward to my walk through the woods with my daughter Freya. It’s a chance for Mum to get 5 minutes to herself and a great chance to spend some quality time with the little ‘n’. Just across the road from me is ancient woodland. We slide her into the child hiking carrier and set off on our way. She absolutely loves it – nattering the whole way round to herself and waving to dog walkers as they pass by, bless her.

At the entrance, there’s a map but we like to pick a direction and see where it takes us. It’s way more fun that way.

I’ll take some pictures on the way round and share them with you. It’s a really beautiful walk and very popular amongst locals – it’s something that attracted us to move to the area.

Moving on to later in the day, Linda Williams will be showcasing her brand new ‘Children through the Seasons’ Groovi designs. This is going to be fantastic One Day Special and certainly one you don’t want to miss if you’re a parcher! Take a look at these: 😍

Such gorgeous designs by Linda. A lovely lady and a very talented one, too!

You can catch the launch today at 6pm.

Anyway, I think there’s plenty to keep you company today on HOCHANDA. I hope you enjoy the shows and have a fantastic day. I’ll catch up with you again very soon.

Bye for now. Steven x

Enjoy your walk with Freya, be it that she will be in her carrier. Nice day for it, sunny but not too hot with a gentle breeze here. We are planning a short bike ride later to get us back into cycling as its been a while since we have had them out. Usually have taken them away with us but of course we haven’t been anywhere this year yet.
Looking forward to the shows later.

    Hello Steven
Enjoy your walk with Freya. I tnink it is so important for Dads to spend quality time with their children while Mum does something else. My husband took our four children swimming every Sunday morning. They all learnt how to swim thanks to his endeavours. A skill all children should learn.
Thank you for the time you, Stuart, Grace and Dave take to bring us our regular Claritymatters blog.
    Love

I back onto ancient woodland but most of it is private, although the residents of our Park (I live in a park home) are allowed in to walk our dogs. We can go for miles or just a short distance, down to the area where they do clay pigeon shooting once a fortnight. There is a large grassy area the dogs love down there. Lots of rabbit poo (dog smarties) and Smells galore! I’m sure your Freya would love it too. I love the new woodland stamps, but a bit pricey just now, so will save for them or see what is left in the craft budget at the end of the month!
