It’s Saturday!

Hello hello! Grace here…

How are you doing on this glorious morning? It’s been storming here quite intensely this week. We had one heck of a lightning show on Wednesday afternoon. We’re hopeful that the rain will take the heat and humidity down a little. It’s been roughly 95 degrees here all week! But looking ahead at my weather app, it doesn’t look like that will be the case haha! Essentially it’s like taking a hot shower outside.

Thank goodness for air conditioning. Humidity is apparently at 86% today. My hair says NO THANK YOU!

So instead, I’m staying indoors and browsing through some overwhelmingly special artwork. Let me just pick my jaw up off the ground and share some of my favourites with you…

Alison Ainger
Lynne Brierley
Gill Askam
Jeanet Groot
Elaine Wade
Frances Knott

WOW!!! I am inspired by these cards, and you. Thank you for taking the time to make them and then share them with everyone online! I’m sure each card inspires someone, somewhere, to try something themselves. And that’s quite an important part of all of this. Whilst we might craft for ourselves because we enjoy it, or to give others beautiful & meaningful cards for special occasions, just the act of crafting and sharing your work holds great power… in that, you never know who you might be inspiring to give it a go.

Right, off to go enjoy the weekend! I hope you enjoy yours too.

Lotsa love, Grace xoxo

    Morning Grace.
Oh WOW thanks for liking my card. I could never have done this without the Shac Shack so big thanks to Barbara for giving me back my inspiration and teaching me and thousands of others!
What super cards you have picked today.
I hope you keep your hair de-frizzed – my eldest has the same trouble lol.
    Enjoy the weekend.
    God bless
    A xx

    Hi Grace
WOW I can see why your jaw hit the floor. The artwork you have shown here today is amazing, and it is lovely to see how the doodle sessions your mum has carried out in her wonderful SHAC SHACK have inspired some of them too.
I don’t know how you cope with the heat and humidity where you are, it must make you very tired.
Take care and enjoy your Saturday

    Hi Grace
It’s Penny again, I just had a quick thought and I was wondering if it would be possible to put a link on the right under Categories for “this album” (from Getting Groovi) for us to click on so that we save our Groovi SHAC challenge cards to the right place. Only, I for one, have had problems finding the right place and have given up looking before now, so to have a special link for uploading pictures would be really useful.
    Just a thought

! Please can you save your Groovi SHAC cards to this album that is specifically for challenge cards?

Goodness, I couldn’t think in that heat! Stay safe indoors with the air conditioning. The parchment pieces are just astonishing.

Isn’t air conditioning wonderful? Over 30 years ago my husband insisted on getting it. I thought he was crazy as we always had a nice breeze and it never really got that hot here. Now I make a point to thank him every year as the weather has gotten much warmer. It’s 100% humidity out there right now. It’s going to be in the 90s today (33°C).

The cards this week are all so different, but each one is gorgeous. Can’t decide which one I like best. Thank you to all of you who share your work so that we can be inspired.

Great picks again Grace, stunning artwork everyone.
I’m glad it’s not that hot here, mind they say it’s going to hit 31degrees centigrade here at the weekend, stay safe and cool people.
