More Garlic, More Glitter!

Good morning, Stuart here! It’s bank holiday Monday. Yay! I think we might be off to the beach, but I’m not sure yet! I’d love to go to the beach, but it strikes me as possibly unwise, possibly unpleasant and probably unwise because it will be unpleasant. I mean, it’s bound to be crowded, hard to social distance, difficult to park and if there’s an ice-cream van – a mile-long queue for £2.50 99er… Hmm…

Anyway that aside, there are some things to share. Firstly, as you can see below, I was inspired by Dave’s blog last week and on Wednesday, the chickens (the kids that is) went out and foraged wild garlic for me. It’s one of our favourite Jamie Oliver recipes using sausage meat and fennel seeds. Delicious!

Next thing to mention is the offers on the Pergamano website. And one in particular that you might not know too much about is the Perga-Glitter bundle. Now, Perga-Glitter is really good stuff. It’s made exclusively for Pergamano and you won’t get these colours anywhere else. It’s a really fine, delicate glitter, available in six subtle colours. It’s designed not to be garish, but as a subtle complement to your parchment art, seeking to enhance your embossing and piercing and not to distract from it. And, with the inclusion of Sticky Ink and a Mapping Pen for professional-level application of the glitter, the bundle is a steal at only £19.99 until the end of the month.

Lastly, thanks so much to Ros Wood for sending in this delightful and charming project using Gilding Flakes – in response to the blog last week. It’s just fun to see what others are up to, isn’t it? Love it. Everyone is just a little bit different, so everyone is always able to inspire everyone else!

Thanks, Ros!

Right then, that’s all for me. I enjoy writing and could waffle on for hours, so I need to stop myself and quit while I’m ahead.

Remember, Clarity matters, it really does. And, stay Safe, Happy And Creative.

Bye for now, Stuart.

Thanks, Stuart and Ros. We’d all like to go to the beach but we don’t want another spike in infections. NHS staff are exhausted and have gone weeks without hugging their children. How about getting some sand for the garden? The chickens are the perfect age for a sandpit and I’m sure they’ll share. We can all justify sand in the garden for improving drainage, right?

I have put my Pentart glitters somewhere safe, so safe I cannot find them.
Beach not for me, I am happy in the garden. No need to worry about social distancing. Love your work Ros.

We have always taken our holidays out of season to avoid crowds and don’t do beaches, so this is no hardship for us. Quite happy at home, now we are both retired life is one long holday.
That meal looks lovely but hubby wouldn’t eat it – he’s not fond of pasta – but keep the recipes coming as I can always make them for me.

    Hello Stuart,
The main thing which puts me off going to the beach etc is THE PUBLIC TOILETS ARE SHUT! Lol. I would never last all day.
    Love

Couldn’t have gone to the beach even if I had wanted to as can’t go far due to shielding husband. Have to be very careful what I do to protect him so very happy to stay home and craft. The only time I go out is to walk my little dog but miss the grandchildren as haven’t seen them since lockdown, only on Facetime. Thank you Stuart for showing my picture. x
