Doodles Everywhere!

Hello! Grace here. On a Wednesday! (I think)

Who knows what day it is really? What ARE days even? *shrug*

Thank goodness for the blog actually! I would otherwise have no clue.

I hope you all had a peaceful Easter weekend 🙂 Certainly not how we expected to spend the holiday weekend this year. But most of us were lucky enough to be home, safe and eating lots of food. And there’s nothing to complain about in there, is there? There are a lot of people in the world that are surviving with a lot less than us, now and always. And not surviving. And that’s not meant to guilt trip, but simply to make sure we are grateful for what we have, whilst we have it. And if we had a roof over our heads, some food to eat and know that our family are also safe and fed, then we have plenty to be grateful for 🙂

Anyway, it’s pretty real here in New York. And all we can do, like everywhere else, is stay indoors and do our bit. So I fancied a roast on Easter Sunday!!

…and boy, quarantine Grace cooks way better than non-quarantined Grace! I somehow enjoy cooking more now, and appreciate it, rather than feel burdened by it. Anyone else feeling that at all? Look at THIS!

I did that?!

First time making roast potatoes… 10/10 to myself haha! I know, shameful! I’m 30 and have never made roast potatoes?! I think I’ve been doing myself a subconscious favour to be honest. Diet wise, now I know what I’m capable of, it’s all downhill from here.

Speaking of capabilities… I’ve been thoroughly enjoying ALL of your doodles. And thought I’d share a few that made me smile recently 🙂

It’s insane how many doodles there are… and I was actually blocked from my own facebook account last week because I liked so many posts! HA! The power of the doodle.

If you look through these doodles on Clarity Worldwide or Groovi Worldwide, you’ll know that there are literally HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of incredible doodles.

And this is certainly a movement for calm.

If you haven’t been following, and want to join in or catch up… you can find all daily doodles with Barbara/Mum on Youtube, here. Two weeks worth of mindful doodle classes, to calm the mind and keep safe.

I’ll be back Friday! 🙂

Lotsa Love, Grace xoxo

    Hi Grace
I’m glad you liked my balloon with the passenger falling overboard – either with frustration at trying to weave the basket or maybe just free-falling for fun (parachute safely tucked behind out of sight!)
You and your mum bring us such joy.

A friend wrote to me today “ Oh wow! Roz – you are becoming a very gifted artist!” I told her it’s not true. I just follow Barb’s lead all the way, clinging on with my fingertips! I very much hope Barb does not mind my fingernails digging into her every morning as we set off on our doodling travels 😂 xx

I have been doing my own thing Grace, but enjoy your mum’s company in the craft shed each morning at 10am. One of these days I might actually join in, but for now I am too addicted to making more pages for my tag journal (rebel that I am lol).

Wow, Grace, wonderful dinner! You go, girl! I think 30 is a very respectable age to start on roasts. What do you think starts middle age spread? Well, not for you because you never stop moving – but the rest of us. You are a great leader, literally pulling that out of the oven in the face of Easter. Of course, now your mum knows you can do it, you can cook for her…

Aw Grace. So lovely of you to share my work. Your Mum is the best you two have such a wonderful relationship. I was reading one of her blogs the other day she mentioned her age… “no never” I thought she was 20 yrs younger… must have good Genes, so lucky you too! Absolutely loved your blog on the 9.4.2020. I cried with laughter. Your Grandfathers comment reminded me of a family member, I chuckle to myself everytime I think of it! Shac Shac times have been a bit difficult for me since my work provided me with a laptop😣 shouldn’t grumble, I’m safe at home working but I catch up when I can, have to have my daily Barb I fix find my self answering your Mum. Your roast looked amazing, we find ourselves planning meals as something to look forward too! Making it a competition who can come up with the most creative Idea with what’s left in the cupboard. I’m glad you are staying safe…. Thank you again for sharing my art! 😍

Hi Grace, I’m enjoying spending time with your Mum and loving everyone’s doodles. I was thinking about doing some thank you’d for various people and the one by the bins is a great idea (Chris Paterson). I want to drop one in to Waitrose where I’d doing the weekly shop too – a card I think. Something for the paper boy/girl – I don’t know as I haven’t seen them yet ! And the postman ….. quite a little list so I’d better get a move on! Glad you enjoyed your roast, I didn’t think I’d doodle like I have and you didn’t think you’d do roasties – so new things for all of us. Keep safe x

I’m yet another who is enjoying your Mum’s doodling mornings. Getting a bit behind as mucked up on a couple but trying again. Your Mum’s voice is so soothing. Like you I actually cooked a roast dinner last Sunday, we usually go out on a weekend not necessarily for a roast though. Since the lock in I have quite enjoyed some baking, I made some Welsh cakes, a cherry cake (that one wasn’t a success as the cherries sunk to the bottom even though I floured them), can’t win them all can you? I also made some beef and onion pies and they came out good. I enjoy your blogs Grace, you keep safe.xxx
