YouTube Tuesday – Technicolour Grunge Paste

Good Crafternoon Clarity family, Simon here with another Youtube Tuesday.

The 60’s! A time of music, love, peace and of course art! The explosion of colour that shaped the art world in that era was pure genius.

Andy Warhol, Roy Lichenstein … those were some creative minds.

This week, Sam is channelling the pop art aficionados of that era with a technicolour splash of her famous grunge paste artwork.

Now, if you’re looking to join Sam on her psychedelic crafting journey, why not pick up the supplies you’ll need from our website. We have Stencil Card, Relief Paperpaste, Palette Knives and a selection of stencils all with 20% off!

Check them out here!

Far out, right? You can achieve the same results every time. And the best thing about this technique is that no matter how many cards or canvasses you make … No two will be the same!

Take a look at these and tell me that two are the same? I’ll wait 🙃

You can’t can you? That’s the beauty of grunge paste and acrylics, and it’s what we love here at Clarity. The uniqueness and brilliance of art and the fact that everyone can be an artist because everyone is different. If everyone were the same, art would have no spontaneity, no passion and no meaning. Whether you craft to express your feelings and emotions, to relax and unwind or to create something you didn’t know you were capable of creating… every time you craft, you stand before an infinity of artistic possibilities.

Right, I think that’ll just about do it. Peace, be happy, go with the flow and as always…

Clarity Matters. It really does.

Simon

Thanks Simon & Sam. Love the inspiration, spech as I’m going through my stencil phase at the mo. Have the gremlins attacked Barbara’s Blog or is it me? I don’t appear to be able to connect tonight. I’ll keep trying. Don’t want to miss any pottery exploits 🍶. 🥳

Just got on with no trouble, Sue, but it is much later now, so maybe not as busy. No pottery today, maybe tomorrow. Great parchment offer and Paul is demoing parchment engineering on Hochanda, if you couldn’t get on.

Great demos. Don’t see them as 60s but they say, if you can remember, you weren’t really there.
