More good news! Today is my wonderful Mum’s birthday!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!

I’m so very grateful that she’s mine. I know you know how lucky I am!

I posted this poem a few years ago (I unfortunately did not write it, but it’s uncredited online so I’ve got no idea!) but it is SO appropriate and spot on for my Mum that I’m going to share it again!

They say you can’t choose family, but I feel rather blessed..
that I was given a special mum, who stands out from the rest.
She nurtured me through childhood, and gave me sage advice…
like to always wear clean underwear, and be courteous and nice.
Teenagers can be traumatic, I gave my fair share of stress..
but despite my tantrums and late nights, she never loved me less.
As I grew up and flew the coop, on adventures far and wide…
I have always felt that her wise words, were right there by my side.
These days we don’t get to spend much time, together on our own,
to simply chat about life, or have a good old moan.
Yet one of her hugs is all it takes to solve my latest woes.
I love you mum, completely… from my head down to my toes.

-Unknown

It’s so lovely!! Just like her. And I cannot wait for one of those hugs!!!
And yep! Back-to-back Birthday and Mother’s Day in one weekend! It is her weekend. And boy do I wish I could be there with her to celebrate her properly. But we know we will make up for it when we can do so safely! And that’s more important than a party, eh?

Since my Mum’s birthday also falls on one of our Sharing Saturday’s, I’m going to share some of my favourite photos of her, as well as your usual stunning artwork!

Just a little collection of my some of my favourite photos. I have so many more! Which is lucky. So so so many good memories to bask in until we can make more together soon! It was just announced that all adults will be eligible for the vaccine here in the US, from May! That’s good news that I know my Mum will LOVE to hear.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!! 🙂

Hi Grace what a good weekend. Mother’s Day and your lovely Mum’s birthday. I do hope that she has a good weekend she so deserves it. Yesterday I received flowers from my daughter and I must admit it made me cry. It is so lovely to see your family photos. Thank you for picking my card to show. That is my first Groovi card and that is thanks to Paul Church’s sessions on Facebook. I know I still have lots to learn. Take care. Hugs xxx

Hi Grace – lovely photos of you & you Mom. Isn’t it so much easier to take & keep photos to hand these days. We have a boxful that need sorting out & labelling whilst we can remember who /what they are.
Lovely cards again this week, thanks for showing mine. I did enjoy the project that Jane set us last Sunday for our Groovi project. Never would have thought of using the oxides on parchment but as they are quite a dry ink,if that makes sense, it soon dried so didn’t make it wrinkle.
I am lucky as my Mom is in our bubble so I will fetch her for lunch tomorrow to give her a change of scenery. 12 months since she first stayed in, we didn’t realise it would last so long but it has meant she has stayed safe. We will have a family zoom in the afternoon to catch up with everyone.
Hope your Mom has a great few days as she celebrates her birthday, Mothering Sunday & Dee’s birthday on Monday

Aww Grace, beautiful photos. You are lucky to have Barbara and we are very lucky she gives up so. Ugh of her time looking after us Shackers. Know I wouldn’t have survived this last year without her. Happy birthday Barbara 🎂💖
