Another peaceful Sunday…

Hello hello! Grace here.

I hope you’re having a peaceful week. One day at a time over here. And there I’m sure, wherever you are. This is probably the first time (in my lifetime anyway) where ALL of us are going through it together, no matter where we are. The world is a mess eh? But even more reason to continue to hunker down, stay inside and DO OUR PART.

So many people in the world seem to think they’re an exception to that rule. But they’re not. They may not see the damage they’re doing yet, but that’s a them problem. I think as a Clarity collective, we should all feel proud of ourselves that we are staying indoors where we can, social distancing and following the ‘rules’. We’re not adding to the trauma that our poor frontline workers are having to endure. We’re not adding to the staggering death toll. And so I hope we’re all at least sleeping well with that… feeling some pride in ourselves and the choices we make. And crafting with purpose! And what a purpose!! Crafting to… save lives. Pretty good if you ask me.

I don’t know about you but I really love feeling good about myself. When I do something wrong, it makes me more anxious than ANYTHING. Do you know what I mean? I hate that feeling. So today I’m encouraging us to feel proud and happy with ourselves. This isn’t the sort of situation where you get a reward for your good behavior. In fact, many of us are sitting back watching other people go on holiday and to parties, without any backlash or repercussions (in many instances)… and that’s frustrating. BUT that’s what we’re choosing to focus on. We do get a reward. We get to feel truly GOOD about ourselves. And know that we’re doing our part to help the world and our fellow human beings. We are saving lives… even when it doesn’t feel like that when you’re stuck in the same living room for months on end. It’s all about choices, and the choices we make determine what kind of person we are. I know which group I’d rather be a part of. How about you?

If you’re feeling a bit rudderless, just remind yourself that you are doing exactly what you’ve been asked to do. Give yourself a pat on the back. Feel Güd about being a decent person.

Be Güd, Do Güd, Feel Güd.

Now on that Güd note, let’s have a look at some VERY GÜD cards shared on Groovi Worldwide and Clarity Worldwide.

Jane Phillips
Anne Breach
Annette Mercer
Helen Stevens
Jeanette walker
Ann Raymond
Kathleen Adam
Pat Gibson
Nicole Dumbleton
Piia Taipola
Sue Carpenter
Sue Isherwood

There were sooo many stunning cards shared online this week, so choosing was particularly hard. But I think you’ll agree with me that these beautiful cards certainly deserve to be showcased again!

Thank you for joining us every week in our attempt to Stay Home And Craft. And for making the artwork so extra special. It really is crafting with a purpose now <3

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! We have a big week ahead 🙂

Lotsa love, Grace xo

So so true Grace, what a lovely selection of cards again. Staying home isn’t so bad and if it means we do save lives then I for one am doing my bit as much as I can.
    Stay safe everyone x

Another week seems to have flown past & yet again another great selection of cards. Thanks for choosing one of mine again this week, I really enjoyed following the step by step tutorial that your mom put on her blog. Quite enjoyed getting painty & inky this week – makes a change from the clean Groovi work.
All we can do as individuals is stick to the rules & stay safe – the minority that don’t will hopefully get their comeuppance although that sadly isn’t always the case. There are always some that go through life taking risks & ignoring the rules & getting away with it.
With all the projects the Clarity team are giving us to try we have plenty to keep us occupied over the coming weeks – what I also love is seeing how others are adapting the designs with items from their stash.
Thanks again Grace – stay safe x

I always enjoy your blogs and seeing the cards you pick. It makes the world seem smaller when we are all going through the same ‘stuff’ doesn’t it! I was trying to find Dave’s ‘recipe’ with I think, turmeric. Can anyone tell me roughly when it was on here please? Am in a fair bit of pain just now and thought I might give it a try!

Thanks Grace. That’s it. I’ll give it a go tomorrow. Had a heavy fall this evening so it’s going to be a bit hard getting undressed with a badly bruised right arm -it won’t move!!

Hi Grace, I wholeheartedly agree with you, although it does get me annoyed when I see people flouting the rules and carrying on like nothing was wrong, I get so frustrated, they think the rules don’t apply to them !!
Wow, wow, wow, these projects are all stunning, I am in awe, you should all be so proud of what you have achieved creating these projects, they are stunning.
    Love from Patricia xx

Very true, Grace. It is a shame we can’t pull together or we would be like New Zealand where they have been out and about for months but they really did lock down to start with to get infection to nothing and their quarantine hotels had armed guards for a bit after two people from the UK went out anyway, reintroducing infection. Imagine the shame of being the two that brought it back and having to live with that the rest of your life. NZ have had fewer infections in the whole pandemic than the UK have in a day.

Very wise words today Grace. Apart from a little walk on my own with no one else about I’ve not been anywhere other than in my own home!
Definitely need to take things one day at a time right now. Xxxx
