Friday’s SHAC Blog :)

Hi there, craft friends. Stuart here filling in for Grace this afternoon. It’s nice that we can all chop and change a bit around here. We’re blessed with a company full of people who can do a bit of everything so we do at times take on one another’s tasks!

Anyway, today is SHAC blog day, right? That’s Grace’s instructions to me. So, as usual, I’ve trawled through the Clarity and Groovi Worldwide Facebook groups for a nice selection of this week’s SHAC doodle examples. It’s those delicate, china teacups, of course, and it looks like you’ve all had a cracking go at these (though cracking teacups in real life is not recommended).

It’s really inspiring to see such a wide range of styles here. You can really see that it’s the same doodle, but everyone’s individuality is really shining through. There are some really awesome interpretations here, some really exquisite details some top-notch line work and amazing quality colouring. A round of applause all round, I think. Let’s just pretend we can all hear each other doing that right now!

So, big thanks to everyone for sharing. We do love to see all your marvellous efforts.

We do of course have a Grooi SHAC project for you today. You can download that right here. Hazel has done a cracking job on producing these and we’re glad you have all been enjoying them, too!

Just Click here to download

So, another week rolls on by. That’s ok. Let’s stick together and roll together. As Barb has been telling us in her blog, this year is for travelling gently! One Day at a time is all we need to be concerned about. Fill it with crafting and don’t forget to pop into the SHAC Shack every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and we’ll all make it through together.

Bye for now,

Stuart

There are some stunners there Stuart. My effort is staying in my folder this time, as my tea making skills are definitely better than my teacup decorating ones. šŸ˜‚ I did enjoy the process though and of course the company in the SHAC. Have a good weekend. x

Thanks, Stuart. I love Hazel’s project with Christmas flowers. I might have a fighting chance of having it ready by December!

Hi Stuart. I love the way people are putting their own mark on things now. So many different cup designs. Mine are all past shac doodles. Barbara has inspired us all so much. Long may it continue.

It’s lovely to see all the teacups together in one place (well a lot of them anyway). I’m afraid cups aren’t my ‘cup of tea’ but we listened in as we had our coffee and watched all the birds outside the window, flocking to the bird feeders. Today it was like entering a magical world taking the dogs into the woods. The snow and ice had turned the cobwebs to ethereal lace, the trees tinkled with their coating of ice in the gentle breeze and the firs were utterly wonderful. I just wished I’d taken a camera! I’ve lived here and walked in those woods almost daily for over 20 years yet this is the first time I’ve seen it turned into such a magical ice world, enhanced by the light fog -absolute delight for all the senses.

Hi Barbara absolutely loving the shac shac only discovered In oct when I looked bk at my work . I’m taking part in the 2021 episodes but also started from the beginning in oct so I’m only on episode 10 but just finished line drawing my cups, I suffer from chronic illness I had to give up my work in 2019 so because I had plenty time on my hands I went right into crafting always dabbled with card making then I watched hochanda one morning and saw Linda doing some parchment craft so I bought the starter kit and some other things got started and loved it now I dabble in stamping and colouring and now the shac shac. I’m also shielding with my hubby and two dogs mitsi and baillie, the shac shac is invaluable for me every week with or without covid, I try to never miss you mon wed fri might not be at 10am but I catch up later in the day, love your wee chats and stories it’s like meeting up with a friend , I just wished we were on zoom then we could communicate, you have really improved my confidence too as I wasnt really sure at the start if I could match up to even something that resembled the shac shac doodles but quickly learned that i can draw and couldn’t believe it . I’m only in my mid 40s and was told from a very early age I couldn’t draw, I have dyslexia also oh and btw I’m also left handed like you and your descriptions and learning method really helps me . I’m so grateful I found the shac shac and thank you for all you do. Keep travelling gently, this too shall pass lots of hugs Carol
