Our Sunday Share of your cards!

Hello Hello! Grace here.

3 days into January already! Mum is busy on Hochanda most of today! Don’t forget to go join her πŸ™‚ There’s some BEAUTIFUL new goodies over there.

My Mum has been blogging the good stuff all week… here, here and here.

Here are the (uk) times Sunday: 2-4pm, then 6-7pm and 8-9pm.
Monday bright and early at 8-9am, 12-1pm and 4-5pm. And don’t forget, Mum will still be doing a little SHAC-Shac LIVE on Facebook at 10am Monday, as always.

Busy busy! The New Year has started with a bang!

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? Can I tell you a little secret?

I haven’t.

I don’t need to put unnecessary pressure on myself in the current climate. How about you? I’m all for goals and resolutions. I make them every year. Every few months in fact. But this year I feel quite calm coming in to the new year without them. Because we have no real control over most things.

I’m going to try to cook more. Exercise more. Go to sleep earlier. Meditate more. Try to leave the house a little more, for walks and fresh air. etc etc etc.

BUT I’m absolutely not going to berate myself for not achieving a list of resolutions that mean very little in the big picture. Maybe that’s it. Okay it’s official… My New Year’s resolution is ‘Don’t berate yourself for not doing any of these things you feel you should be doing’. Wordy. Hahah!

2020 was unprecedented. But it’s 2021 now… and we’re still very much IN this. So, I’m going to travel gently. What about you? I’m sure you’ve heard that phrase now mentioned on my Mum’s blog and the SHAC SHAC. They say it at the end of my old meditation sessions and I’ve always liked it. Travel gently. Be gentle to yourself basically. My usual intense list of New Year’s Resolutions being created in the current situation seems the opposite of gentle to me. Instead of cook more, clean more, exercise more etc etc… how about:

  1. Be kinder to yourself
  2. Don’t set yourself unrealistic expectations
  3. If you do, be prepared to let them go
  4. Practice breathing every day (should be easy…)
  5. Try to be more present

Now… THOSE I can work with. What about you?

Now, please allow me to share with you some absolutely BEAUTIFUL Clarity artwork that was shared on Clarity Worldwide and Groovi Worldwide!!

Avic Yenko Andrada
Sue White
Barbara Clare Brown
Fiona Henderson
Jean-Marie Penny
Joy Page

Aren’t they stunning? Each in their own unique way! Receiving any of these cards would be absolute treat. What a talented community to be a part of!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! Make sure to tune into Hochanda πŸ™‚

Lotsa love, Grace xo

I agree with you Grace that there is no point setting unrealistic targets or goals only to feel deflated if you don’t achieve them; especially in the current circumstances. New Year’s resolutions are not something I have ever set myself. The artwork posted is, as always, spectacular. Congratulations to those showcased this week.

Ah thank you for including my pic for my little grandson! I had such a lovely time making this, a total escape from all the mad things that are going on around us! This is the most mindful, absorbing craft I have ever done and I’d thorough recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of quiet inner peace! Stay safe on your side of the pond too! Lots of love Frances xx

You are right, Grace – we just need to go with the flow, being our best selves so we stick to the rules and manage as best we can through the chaos. Happy New Year. Your mum has done sterling work today, calm whatever has been thrown at her.

Hi Grace, I can definitely follow those, they are more realistic. I haven’t made any resolutions, I found out years ago that they don’t last two minutes before I am berating myself for failing, and when I do that I can’t get it out of my head that I have ‘failed’ and my mind won’t ‘let go’, so I stopped making any and have just tried to be a better person instead.
Beautiful artwork shown here, I love them all.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hallo Grace, what a delightful selection of artwork. Such talented people.
Unusually for me, I managed to catch most of the demonstrations today and enjoyed all of them. Shame Barbara kept being frozen out at 1800 but she sailed on regardless, picked up where she left off.
Looking forward to the SHAC shack in the morning.
No New Year resolutions for me, just take it one day at a time. xx

Hi Grace, sorry I am late in reading this but a lovely selection of cards again this week. Have watched the shows & drew teacups in the SHAC shack yesterday morning. Live for today & sort tomorrow out when it comes is enough for me, I think resolutions are too restrictive & in fact makes life more negative when we break them.
All I have planned to do is to try & use some of my crafty stash up & complete some of the kits & projects that are lurking in my craft room & as we are now in full lockdown for at least another 4 weeks I should have plenty of time.
    Stay safe xx
