The Excitement is Building

Hi there, friends, Stuart here for your Clarity Matters round up.

Now, it goes without saying that this is traditionally quite an exciting time of year. It’s Christmas week and, without wishing to be insensitive to that fact that for pretty much all of us, Christmas won’t be quite how we might have hoped, I think we can all still find things to be grateful for and excited about.

Now, the first thing to be excited about is the winner of last week’s giveaway. If you’ll remember I set you a little question about the colour of this pencil that Barb has been using in the SHAC Shack:

And it turns out you all pay more attention in the SHAC Shack than I gave you credit for. Because pretty much everyone guessed correctly that this colour is called Beige Red. Which I suppose shouldn’t be that surprising really. I mean, if you didn’t already know, this doesn’t look like a red. It looks like a pink. But, I suppose, on a technical level, pink is not actually it’s own separate colour, pink is a tint of red. Did you know that? That’s how colours work, there are a few distinct individual hues, but you can tint (add white) or shade (add black). So things like pink and lilac for instance are tints of red and of purple. Maroon would be a shade of red… Well, it interests me 😊.

Anyway, the winner…

Congratulations Annette Mercer

You’ve won our pack of 12 essential SHACing Polychromos.

It’s a cracking set, this!

If you send email gallery@claritystamp.com with your postal address, I’ll pop those in the post to you (sorry they won’t make it to you before Christmas day though).

Right then, next up, I think our opening hours are in order. We like to keep you informed and there are a couple of tiny tweaks to the working hours, but also some SHAC and TV to let you know about.

You see, in order to rest our little elves nicely for the new year, we’ll close the office from Thursday 24th. We’ll re-open on Tuesday 29th to Friday 31st from 8am – 2pm. Normal service will resume on Monday 4th January 2021. But we’re not dropping off the radar completely. There is SHAC Shack and or TV on the following days:

  • Friday 25th (YAY πŸŽ„ ): TV 9am, SHAC 10am
  • Monday 28th: SHAC 10am
  • Wednesday 30th: SHAC 10am
  • Friday 1st (Woo πŸŽ† ): SHAC 10am
  • Sunday 3rd: TV 2-4pm, 6pm & 8pm
  • Monday 4th: TV 8am, 12pm & 4pm

And don’t forget that the elf hunt is still running. There are 24 cheeky little clues to follow, and you’ve got until the 28th to get those entries in. If you have missed any of the clues or need a quick reminder of the deets, simply click the banner above to go to the designated Elf page. It’s got all you need to know on there.

Right, well, I think that’s all from me for now. So I’ll leave you with that and since this is my last blog before the big day, I’ll wish you a very merry Christmas indeed. I hope you are all able to make the most of it. Barb’s right, it’s not cancelled. In fact, you can’t cancel it. It happened once, 2000 ish years ago in the middle east. All we do now is celebrate and remember that joyous hope-giving event. No amount of lockdown can take away the hope the Christmas story can give us.

See you next year,

Stuart

I showed my husband this post, with my name and prepared him for future additions! I did say that they can be bought individually, so it could be like sweetie Friday when I was a child. πŸ˜‚

Congratulations to Annette on winning the pencil set – I think you will love them & wonder how you have managed with out them all this time.
Thank you Stuart for doing the blogs throughout the year along with Steven & Grace. I hope you & your family have a lovely Christmas doing what you are able to do safely. Whatever we do we will be making memories to look back on so lets make the most of that time. Must remember to take some pictures this year, I always get to New Year & realise that there are very few, if any photos of Christmas.

Hi Stuart. I am so glad to see you say Christmas can’t be cancelled. Too true! It is a wonderful day, no matter what happens on it any particular year. It may even be better without all the excess and the exhaustion of cooking for large numbers. I hope you have a wonderful time at the drive in, if it is still allowed in your area, and enjoy the wonder of the chickens.

    Interesting about tints and shades.

Congratulations, Annette. You will love them!
