What’s going on?

Hi there crafty friends, what’s going on? Stuart here with your weekly dose of Clarity matters and the lowdown on what we’ve got going on this week. Which, by the way, is quite a lot, despite not being on TV…

https://claritystamp.com/pages/elf-hunt-2020

The first thing to shout about is our Clarity Elf Hunt. Conclusion: it’s great. So many of you are really enjoying it and I hope it’s not toooooooo tricky. I hid all the elves myself, by the way, and I made a couple of them super easy and a couple of them less so. Well, we can’t make it too easy, could we? Plus, it’s fun to have a challenge. Good for the brain. Anyway, if you’ve been playing, why not comment on this post and let us know how you’re getting on? Don’t give away the answers, but do let us know if you’ve found it easy/hard or if you’ve managed to find them all so far or not.

If you don’t know about the Elf Hunt yet, where have you been? Well, click the banner above and follow the instructions. There’s a £200 Clarity hamper to be won if you’d care to play.

Today’s clue, just in case you haven’t seen it yet is in the banner above for you.

Next thing on the agenda is our YouTube Tuesday video. Sticking with the elf theme, I’ve dug out Barb’s amazing and amazing-simple, paperchain tutorial using our Elvis the Elf stamp. When you buy an Elf stamp, whether it be Elvis, Misself or the Elf Twins, you get the front of them and the back of them, specifically for creating the project in this video. Fancy a little extra decoration for the tree? Well, why not try out an elf paperchain? Also, if anyone does or has already made an elf paperchain – can you take a picture and send it in? We’d love to see it and share it on the blog!

Well, that’s a lot to be getting on with already, right? So I’ll be quick with the rest of my updates. And I would like to just shine a little light on gift vouchers. Partly because they are a quick, easy and stress-free choice for a gift. Who doesn’t like a good voucher for Christmas? I mean, you could argue they are a bit thoughtless, but then again, that’s rather pessimistic. You didn’t need to get them anything… Plus, some people are just tricky to buy for. And no one is ever disappointed with a gift voucher. It’s fun to shop and choose yourself. So why not think about our gift vouchers for those last-minute presents you need to sort out. This year, our vouchers come in a beautifully printed and folded gift card with the SHAC Shack Town doodle that many of you will have seen Barbara create during her Facebook live videos. So it’s a beautiful little gift to give. Click the banner above to see what amounts we have for sale.

And finally – a little reminder that Barb is back tomorrow – 10am live on Facebook to continue doodling the Gnomes.

Sound good? See you then.

Bye for now.

Stuart

Love the elf hunt. I have noticed that this year I seem much more familiar with all the products!! Now I wonder why that could be??

The Elf hunt is much better for me than a Chocolate Advent Calendar. Two clues caused me angst so far and a great deal of “trolling” through the site, but it feels good when they eventually show themselves. Thank you for this little bit of fun Barbara.

Loving the elf hunt, found them all so far. Took a while to find the first one . Can’t join Shac live except on a Friday these days but manage to catch up. Wouldn’t miss it for the world. Barbara has kept us all going through the difficult times. Teaching us so much and making us laugh most of the time, together with a few tears. I have learnt so much. Thank you to Barbara and the team.🙂🙂

Love the elf hunt. Usually get them all eventually, even if I end up trawling through the entire website just before the closing date 😂

I have done every elf hunt so far and am so pleased to see it back again this year. The clues are great as I really need something to stretch my brain during this shutdown. Have found them all so far. Looking forward to the next 24.

    Hi Stuart
I am joining the elf hunt for the first time this year. So far I have found all the elves. Number 1 was hard but when Barb gave a little extra clue it finally clicked. It is amazing how finding an elf can make you smile!
    Have a good day.

    Hello Stuart
I love the elf hunt, day one and today’s were a bit trickier but the rest have been easy for me.
With regards the voucher issue, after a bit of training (lol) my eldest son gives me vouchers for birthday and Christmas. These I earmark to help towards the cost of my clubs. Then I can celebrate every month of the year!

Loving the challenge and distraction that the Elf Hunt brings – Clue 1 was particularly tricky, but I got there in the end; the others haven’t been so much of a tease … but I’m fully expecting to be tearing my hair out again later this month, as I’m sure there will be one or two more very obscure hiding places to be discovered!

The Clarity Elf Hunt is now a firm fixture in my Advent – congratulations to all involved in the making of this game, whether it be the design of the elf, the hiding of the elf, or the composition of the clever poem clues to the finding of the elf! Who will we need to seek out next year – could it be Elvis’s good mate, Pickle the Penguin?!

Hi Stuart, just catching up with the blog as I go my mums on a Tuesday. Nice to see so many comments.
I love the Elf Hunt & have done it from when Elvis first appeared on the scene. Day 1 this year was a little tricky, ended up trawling through each page but got there in the end & then wondered why it had taken me so long as it was quite obvious really. Since then I must have got on the right wavelength as so far all is well & I have all 8 or is it I have got to know the products better over the last 3 years ??

This is the first year I’ve participated with the elf hunt and I’m really enjoying it. I think I’ve been watching Barbara enough now that the clues I can figure out after a bit of thought, and some are really quick. Love it and glad I decided to play along this year.

    Hi Stuart,
Love the Elf hunt, been a fan since the first one although I don’t submit my answers.
I have found all but one of the teasers and have trawled the site (every item) twice, finding things I need in the process. I am going to leave another trawl until I come across another sticking point as I cannot justify another spend at the moment – hahaha – hubby would skin me alive !!!

Late to the party. I am joining in the elf hunt but I am stuck on clue 5 despite trawling through the whole site several times. I won’t give up. I realise what a lot of hard work goes into organising something like the elf hunt, thank you to all involved.
