GET IN THE SHACK!

Hello hello! Grace here.

It feels strange not talking to you in Blogland until Friday! But you know where I am πŸ™‚

“WHERE?”

On the trusty chat system! If you didn’t know, we have an online chat set up on both Claritystamp.com and Pergamano.com, which I (wo)man 5 days a week.
8am – 5pm EST (1pm – 10pm UK time).
I’m there to answer product questions, help you with technical issues with your account, assist with your shopping and ordering, to give you a status update on an order OR just to say hello. It’s nice to just say hello sometimes. If you can come on the chat system to ask me a question, that saves you the time of putting together an email! It saves you having to wait for the answer. And it saves Jeannine time, so she can better assist the despatch department in getting those orders out to you! I’m here to help πŸ™‚

You’ll find me in the bottom left hand corner of both websites, where it says “Chat with us“.
‘Us’ being me πŸ˜‰

Now, keeping to our usual schedule, it’s Friday. So that has meant a sharing of your Groovi SHAC artwork. But moving forward, it’s ALSO going to include SHAC SHAC updates, information and occasionally some doodles.

…Can we even call them doodles anymore? More like WORKS OF ART.

But yes, please come to my Friday blog for all things SHAC. That’s the Groovi SHAC and the SHAC SHAC. Particularly as we all (yes, NY has new restrictions now too) enter our second lockdown, it’s good to have it all in one place. SO… The SHACK it is. Quick! Get in.

GROOVI SHAC

Here are your beautiful Groovi SHAC cards of the week! Inspired by Download # 30

Ann Raymond
Barbara Clare Brown
Elizabeth Sykes
Katharine Peace
Linda Bentley
Linda Stringer
Sue Carpenter

This seemed harder than most downloads… to me at least! Or from a distance. Am I wrong? Just a little trickier and more challenging from the lovely Hazel Edwards. But haven’t you done well? Certainly stepped right up to the challenge. I think they are just lovely. And again, all very unique and beautifully made.

I’m increasingly more inspired to give picot cutting a try. Perhaps I should start a series for those of us who have not yet attempted it. It would likely end up being a ‘How NOT to do it’, but fun nonetheless. You inspire me πŸ™‚

Here is Groovi SHAC Download #31, in all it’s glory! Leaves and butterflies. And leafy butterflies. I know we likes that! πŸ˜€

SHAC SHACK

Now for our SHAC SHACK hang of the week. I have to say, whilst beginning to gather my fave cards this week for our Sunday Share… I was BLOWN AWAY by all of the wonderful little village scenes you’ve drawn. There’s too many too share. They might be my favourite so far! But then, what about Japan? Or the Mandalas? And what about Africa? And our time under the sea? And then the colouring! The toucans?! Or the blue tits? OOOH what about the hot air balloons doodles? Hmmmmm.

Honestly… the list goes on and on and on and on. The amount of things you’ve mastered since this all started in the Spring is quite mind boggling. I hope YOU are as impressed with yourself as we are.

The project that your currently working on is another STUNNER. So here is some info for it…

  • It is 4×4 inches in size
  • It can be done on copy paper, buff paper or designer paper.
  • Either wrap it around our 4×4 inch canvas board or, if you start the design 1/4 inch in all-round (leaving a bit of a border – total size still must be 4×4), you can slide it into a Pergamano Coaster.
  • Barb has discussed this particular design as being good for a gift. *AHEM Christmas AHEM*

Products of note for this project
Tracing Paper
Posca Pens
Micron pen 0.5
Graphite pencil H
GreyBuff Paper
4×4 canvas board
Perga Coasters
Blending Pen (currently out of stock)
Polychromo colours / Pack of 12 Polychromos
– or Perga Liners
Some key colours used this week:
Cadmium Yellow (from big polychromo pack)
Fallow Blue (from big polychromo pack)
Cobalt Green (from big polychromo pack)
Paynes Grey (available individually or in smaller pack)

I hope that helps you on your way! Your bus driver certainly acts like she knows where you’re all off to…

Don’t forget! Me Mam & Paul are the telly tomorrow. Hochanda 11am & 3pm (UK time) with some BEAUTIFUL stuff. Don’t miss it!

Lotsa love, Grace xo

Thankyou Grace. I didn’t manage to make this weeks download but I’ve saved it to do in the future. Find these really motivating and appreciate the work that it takes to set them up for us. Hope to manage this weeks in time. Xx

Thank you for choosing my card again this week, it was a little more tricky but I made it more so by going off piste & using different plates.
There again that proves how versatile the Groovi system is – once you have a template you can adapt it quite easily.
Looking forward to the shows tomorrow although Paul is staying on packing duty & your Mom is doing all 3 shows. I have some of the products already so looking for new ideas but the smaller scenes by Jayne Nesterenko will be good to make smaller cards along with the frame from the hot air balloon set.
See you on Sunday to see what you have to share with us for the week, Stay safe xx
