Getting folksy in the SHAC

Hi there… Grace here.

On a Wednesday. A BIG Wednesday. As many of you have likely figured out by now, I like to write my blogs the day before they publish. It helps me to stay on top of my workload… and not freak out if something unexpected comes up. So when I prepared this blog, it’s ACTUALLY Tuesday. Which means it’s Election Day. here in New York. Tense energy for sure. By the time you read this, we might just know the results. Probably not though…

But as I write this, we don’t. So I’m going to refocus my energy in another more fun direction!! The SHAC SHACK! And your fabulous artwork.

I often focus on the Clarity and Groovi artwork on my Friday & Saturday blogs, but today I want to share some of what our SHAC SHACKERS have been getting up to…

I’m purposefully not naming anyone because that’s not what the SHAC is about. It’s not about experts, or anyone being ‘better’ than anyone else. It’s definitely not about ego. It’s about being safe, happy and creative, together in these crazy times. So, no names. Just STUNNING drawings that you’ve all done together, with my mum, whilst staying calm and creative. Look how lovely each and every one of these are turning out…

All very special and different. I really like this SHAC stop, that you’re ‘working’ on. And I’ve seen where you’re all going with it 😉 You see, I get to FaceTime with the bus driver… and she excitedly shows me her artwork as she’s doing it. The inside scoop. You’ll enjoy this!

Lotsa love, Grace xo

If ever there was a day the Shackers needed a distraction, this was it! I’m loving all the snowy variations we’re creating – all of them unique and beautiful. You must be super proud of your mum, Grace, just like she is of you! Go, The Shackers!! x

Just catching up with the blogs & SHAC shack as we managed to get away for a couple of days to celebrate our birthdays & 50 years since we met !! Not a 5 star hotels but the YHA where we met – much better than it was 50 years ago with a private room with armchairs, kitchenette & TV. We went for a 6 mile walk along the River Dove which was very pleasant. Thought of the SHAC shack as we found lichen on the trees like we had coloured last week on the Toucan pictures.
I am loving the doodles this week & having watched Mondays session last night it didn’t go the way I thought it was heading. The combination of the white, grey & black on Kraft card certainly has the WOW factor. Thanks for sharing all the artwork – amazing how many designs have been created when they were all on the same bus !!
    Stay safe

Dear Grace. Lovely as usual to read your blog. You are so like your lovely Mum.I haven’t managed Shac Shac this week. A bad day yesterday. Heard my dear daughter -in-law is in San. Francisco University hospital having chemo, been diagnosed with a 1in a million case. It all feels worse because we can’t go to be with her. Thankfully they seem to be looking after her well. Watched Paul this morning, and it is beautiful tree they had made. Hope you are well and keeping safe xxxxxxxx

This election will be one for the record books. I’m trying to limit myself to checking once an hour. I’m terrified but hopeful. Today’s blog is a nice break from the madness. Each example is wonderful and all are so different.
