It’s Friday!

Hellooooo! Grace here.

I hope you’re all keeping well!

Guess what? Remember all that well wishing I was doing when you were all in the heat without air conditioning in England?

GUESS WHOSE GLORIOUS AC PACKED IN ON WEDNESDAY? Yep.

Fingers crossed it will be fixed before the weekend… but I’m currently writing this blog from the guest room. It’s the coolest room (temp wise) in the apartment, and it has a little balcony. So I’ve opened that right up to let the lovely breeze indoors. Yes, luckily there’s a breeze! Quite nice really, we may have to sleep in here tonight.

Still… grateful for plenty. I’m currently keeping a close watch on these horrific wild fires in California. My brother is generally pretty safe from forest fires in San Francisco (surrounded by water) but my Dad and many family and friends live right around the Bay Area where the fires are out of control. Some are getting ready incase they need to evacuate… let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

Never a dull moment! I miss the dull moments.

But I THOROUGHLY enjoyed finding your Groovi SHAC challenge cards this week. Everyone outdid themselves and this might have to be one of my favourite weeks yet. Check these out!

Barbara Clare Brown
Julie Campbell
Eva Henninger
Cathryn Chaggar
Lynne Bishop
Elizabeth Sykes
Lyn Buckell
Linda Stringer
Katherine Peace
Ann Raymond

Bloomin’ brilliant! They all share the general theme, the layered border. But otherwise they’re all very different and special in their own right! Very nicely done 🙂

On to your next homework!

Here’s Groovi SHAC challenge number 19 🙂

Click me!

Go on! I want to see how creative you get and what you decide to use.

I can’t believe it’s been 100 hours on the SHAC SHAC today! Blimey. What a ride it’s been. I’m sure we can all agree that my Mum’s SHAC SHAC videos every week day have been a blessing for so many. And they’re free tutorials! She’s a bit of a legend 🙂

See you tomorrow for my weekly share. Enjoy your Friday! The weekend is upon us 🙂

Lotsa love, Grace xoxo

Its Friday again – where do the weeks go to ? Sorry to hear about the AC for you & the Fires for the rest of your family & friends out in California. As you say ”never a dull moment”
Another great selection of cards this week – I have all the downloads so will collect the necessary plates or nearest alternative for some of them to take away with me next week. We are spending a few days with our granddaughters & there are a few rain showers forecast so best to be armed with activities. I also have the baubles etc for the SHAC shack. Hopefully being organised for wet play will chase away the clouds during the day & we can be crafting in the evenings.

Thank you Grace for selecting my version – I feel very honoured!
I hope you get the AC fixed soon!
At work some of my colleagues have come up with a good idea – they place a bottle of frozen water in front of a fan (but not so that it drips onto the fan……!!!) and it then blows cold air instead of the warm air that is in the room.

Hi Grace hope your a/c gets fixed soon. I have to agree with you that this weeks download was great. Everyone puts a different spin on the design which is great. We are so lucky to have your Mum and the rest of the Clarity team to inspire us. It was great that Dave joined us briefly in the Shack this morning. There were lots of happy tears. Stay safe. Hello Grace
I hope your Father, Mark and family stay safe from the fires. Such a worry for you. And I am sorry to hear your air conditioning has broken, overwork I expect.

Congratulations to everybody showcased today, especially Lynne Bishop for upholding the reputation of the East Northants Groovi Group. We seem to be represented most weeks and you have no idea who is a member so you can’t be accused of favouritism, lol.

Enjoy your weekend and I will be printing off Groovi Shac #19 as soon as my tablet, computer and printer start playing ball and talk to each other. Don’t you just love technology!

    Love

We lost our AC a few weeks ago when we had a power failure in the neighborhood. It was just for the evening, but it was miserable. I’ve become such a wimp. 🤣 I’ve also been avoiding the news for a couple of weeks now, so just now learned about the fires. It’s a terrifying situation for everyone out there.

Another stellar bunch of cards today. So much inspiration. I’ve been thinking about Christmas cards lately, but just can’t decide what to do this year. I keep changing my mind with every new batch of cards that are showcased. Worrying about card making is a wonderful distraction from the outside world.

I love the picture of the baby in the sink. Really made me giggle. Thanks!

Oh no, sorry about the AC ! We’ve got wind and rain now which I guess they could do with where the fires are – well the rain bit not the wind of course. Lovely collection of cards, I’m behind on Groovi Shac downloads but love seeing them all. I’ve been to all of the Shacs, probably only had to do 3 or 4 catch up ones and it’s been a privilege. We have a lot to thank your Mum for ! Have a good weekend x x

Hoping you get your a/c sorted soon. Yet another beautiful selection of artwork. How I wish dull would come back to our house. My hubby broke our shower tray and you cannot get a plumber for love or money; so once again I’ll be spending my special day tomorrow trying to work out how to plumb in the new shower tray and put the shower door back together and the tiling done. Last year on my special day, like your Mum’s, he was in plaster having torn his achilles in two places! Hoping mid next week to return to some crafting. Sending positive wishes too to all those affected by the fires.

    Hi Grace
It’s 2:18am here and I have just been watching the news about the wildfires in California. I can truly understand why you are worried about for day and other family members and friends who live there. I think your brother Mark, might be getting a few guests to stay soon. I hope he has lots of space.

I do hope you get your A/C Sorted out soon. A need to keep cool is a must these days.

The cards you selected this week are amazing, and again, such a variety.
Your mum was an absolute sweetie this morning in the SHAC Shack, and Dave is such a tease, bringing her to tears. A very emotional 100th hour. She is such an inspirational woman and I just know that she has changed so many lives for the better. I’m sure you must be so very proud of her.

    Take care & stay safe

I’m late again!! I hope by now your AC has been fixed! My brother in Australia has it and aid he couldn’t live without it in their summers. I love the artwork this week, particularly the ones with stitching, though they are all special in their own way. If i could manage Groovi, I’d be doing the challenges too! I miss parchment craft, but my hands and eyes just won’t cooperate!!
