Little Angels…

Morning, Clarity friends. Stuart here.

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend. Mine was fine except the girl got a little too excited at the prospect of jumping on the mud in the garden and decimated the lower branches of my beautiful purple Buddleia. Needless to say, she got a very stern talking to! No more fun for her for a long time (so I say now).

Oh children, why can’t they be as angelic as the little fairy figures on our new Pergamano stamps? I’ve managed to get another little sneaky peek for you. Here’s what the packaging will look like:

Art can be so misleading, can’t it? Children are never really that sweet, are they? Apart from when they have been sleeping… My children don’t even have wings! Although maybe that’s for the best 😏 Hmmm, maybe I’m just still bitter about my buddleia…

Misleading or not these are one of the cutest set of stamps you’re ever likely to see, just like pretty much every Marina Fedotova design there is. But that’s why it’s so popular, right? It’s the type of cute just makes you squirm with delight – the kind that four-year-old girls are good at when they see ANYTHING with big eyes, fur and pink nose…

Anyway, do look out for your TV guide later today. It’ll be in your inbox at 5:30pm with all the info you need one this glorious One Day Special.

Do not be bitter! You wanted more buddleias – now you have ready made cuttings. Trim them up and pot them. She can water them daily as punishment.

Don’t be too hard, gardens are for fun and the buddleia will recover. Love the pergamano stamps, not too twee.

Buddleia’s grow quite easily going by the number of self setters I have in my garden so collect some seeds when the the buds dry off in a few weeks time. Then get the children to plant them in small pots & watch them grow over the winter ready to plant out next year. They could collect other seeds as well – young gardeners in the making.
Thanks for more sneaky peeks of the new stamps – a Clarity weekend to look forward to.

It’s a bit early to prune the buddleias but they’ll be fine next year. As someone suggested, you can use the ‘removed’ pieces as cuttings. Have you found any more varieties to plant? I only have one -a deep purple -as I have a very small garden but it was covered in butterflies today. I won’t be tempted by the new stamps, partly because I’m not able to do parchment work now, but mainly because I don’t really do ‘cute’ -except maybe the odd cute animal, but not children. I’m sure they’ll be very popular though.

Lol. Don’t worry about your buddleia. It will shoot away again with the next couple of weeks and you won’t even notice it’s been broken and you have ready made plants in the one that was broken! You asked about plants for butterflies and bees. The bees love sweet peas, penstemon, phlox, big white daisy like flowers with yellow centres – can’t remember what they are called. I was watching the bees and butterflies in the garden today. Looking forward to the shows at the weekend.
