EXTRA Celebrations on the cards!

Hello! Grace here.

Hope everyone is staying safe indoors. And looking after themselves as much as possible.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely birthday messages yesterday! Even though I was quarantined alone for most of it, I felt love from all over the world. So thank you πŸ™‚ When we bust out of here, there’ll be EXTRA celebrations for us all.

Before my fella had to leave for work (his job is considered ‘essential’ in our current lock down guidelines) he got up super early and decorated… and I have to say I was quite blown away. How thoughtful!

How long should I leave them up?

I also wanted to share this beautiful card that I received from Sheila and my Uncle Steve. It’s pretty cool really, if you think about it. My Mum (and co) designed it, my Uncle Steve produced the Groovi plate, and then Sheila handcrafted an absolutely GORGEOUS card for me!

I actually got it a week ago, and have been waking up to it every day and still can’t get over how lovely it is. She’s worth her weight in gold, that Sheila.

Sheila Bradley

Sheila used the following plates:

  • The Entwined Spring Circle Wreath, here
  • The Floral Numbers Collection (also available individually), here.
  • Tina’s Henna Corners 2, here.
  • Straight Pattern # 1 Border Grid, here.

I want to try picot cutting myself soon, but things are busy at the moment! It’s on the list.

Do any of you know which Clarity designer paper Sheila used? I’m obsessed with these colors. I’ll tell you what, leave the correct answer in the comments below and I will enter you in to my own birthday raffle. The winner will receive a free pack of that very designer paper!

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many‘.

Stay safe!

Lotsa Love, Grace xoxo

Dear Grace. So sorry I am a day late, but still want to wish you a very happy birthday. love the decorated room. My grandma want sure if she was born on the 6th or 22nd July, so used to celebrate from one to the other, by leaving cards out. I like to make mine last a few days.
Hope all going well with you, Just received my groovi for this month, which is very good, and your mum’s lovely letter, which I like.
Have been busy with cards, as I have several birthdays at this time.
Also tried to do things in the garden as the weather is perfect, but suffering today, having a rest. Must remember to look for your message on Tuesday . Xxxxxx

Very happy birthday to a lovely Grace. I think the paper is Toscana but maybe wrong.
Hope your day is as perfect as the card and the decorations. Lots of love

Belated Birthday Greetings for yesterday. What a lovely card – I reckon Sheila used the Waimea Falls paper – 3rd design in the pad. What a wonderful memory of your family holiday last year. Loving the Clarity Teams blogs – thanks for keeping us in the crafting loop. Stay safe everyone xx

Hi Grace, glad you had a good birthday evening though you spent the day alone. If I were you I would keep the decorations up for at least a week! After all he did do an exceptionally good job so would be rude not too!
As far as the background paper is concerned, my guess would be Waimea Falls, I have most of the papers but don’t have that one or Toscana so I’m guessing Waimea but probably completely wrong. Keep safe in your lockdown and look after you and yours. Much love, Julie xx

Wow! What a thoughtful guy. The decorations should stay up at least a week. That card is incredible. The coloring really complements the paper. I think that Anne is right about the paper being Toscana. I don’t have that one yet, so I can’t say for sure.

My state shut down today, so I’ll have plenty of time to craft at home. My plan is to send a card every day to someone. Going to go through all my crafting supplies and just start USING stuff.

Zen Hugs to all. (This is from one of my favorite books of all time, The Ship Who Searched by Anne McCaffrey and Mercedes Lackey. “They are the hugs that you would get, if we were there, if we could hug you, but we aren’t, and we can’t.”)

    Hello Grace

I have always left mine, my husband’s and children’s cards up for a week. So, I say, leave your decorations up for a week.

Love to you and stay safe,
    Roz.xxx

Belated Happy Birthday. I think you should leave them for as long as you can. I remember my 30th birthday. It was one of the best! ( Far better than 25 which was a whole quarter of a century! Both a long time ago now. πŸ˜€) it’s a beautiful card. I’m going to hedge my bets and say it’s either Waimea Falls or Toscana as I don’t have either of them so can’t check. It’s definitely not one of the earlier ones. Xx

A Belated Happy Birthday Grace. I would leave the decorations up for a week and your cards, a day is just not long enough to appreciate them and enjoy them. Love Sheila’s card to you, she is very clever her cards are brilliant. Afraid I haven’t got the Walmea Falls pad so I think it must be that one as I have Toscana and couldn’t see it in the pad. Take care Grace and Mark and keep safe, in these worrying times for everyone.xxx

    Hi there, Grace,

Hope you have had a good day. How lovely to awaken to your house all decorated for your birthday. That’s a very thoughtful guy you have there. The paper that was used is Waimea Falls, third paper in the pack. Take care. Hx

Hi Grace!! That’s a beautiful card that Sheila has made for you! And as you say a real team effort. The paper looks like Waimea Falls… They are fabulous!!!
I’d keep your decs up for as long as you wanted. Obviously if you get fed up of then take them down.
We will all have to have a massive celebration when we’re through this.
    Meantime stay safe xxxxx

What a gorgeous card! Definitely one for the memory box. The room looks fabulous too, what a lovely gesture. I am glad you had all the lovely vibes from all over the world.

I’ve only just caught up with the blog – my newsfeed has been so busy, and not much of it is stuff that I have wanted to see really.

Thank you for keeping us all upbeat and entertained. Clarity Matters very much to me indeed.

    Take care xx

What a sweetie your honey is. I’d say keep them up until they start to bug you. That does happen eventually. If they don’t, they can stay as long as they make you smile. With social isolation, who’s going to see it anyway?
