YouTube Tuesday – Season’s Greetings Two Ways (Part Three)

Good morning all, Simon here with this week’s YouTube Tuesday.

Here is the final part of our Two-Way Overlay series, using the fabulous Two Way Overlay bauble stamps.

This week we’re using Shrink Plastic to create some gorgeous hanging ornaments, earrings or just decorative card finishing pieces. The possibilities are endless!

We’ll keep the Two Way Overlay Bauble stamps at three for two, and we’ll offer our Shrink Plastic and Perga Liners at 20% off for the week, if you fancy trying these yourselves. Click just here for a look.

They’re so dinky! That’s what we love about shrink plastic at Clarity. Art doesn’t have to be enormous. Yes, the Sistine Chapel is phenomenal, Michaelangelo’s David is sublime but Tudor miniatures in their own right are incredibly detailed. Even pinhead art is spectacular.

They’re being paid peanuts for this artwork.

I mean look at that! And it just proves that art can be small and, to be honest with everyone, small art for me is some of the best art. I’m rather into trading cards and some of the artwork and illustrations featured is breathtaking and beautiful. There’s just something about the small format, densely packed with ornate illustrative detail. And that’s exactly what you can easily achieve with the Shrink Plastic.

So that’s something to think about in the New Year. Tiny art for a big impact for a new decade.

Happy New Year all!

Clarity Matters. It really does.

Simon

I love shrink plastic. You can do so much with it. I need to try using the oven to shrink it though as I’ve ruined a few pieces by being impatient with the heat gun.

As usual a fun and informative video. I really liked the black with the negative of the stamp. So many techniques that can be used with all your stamps.

I enjoyed the video, so may dig out the shrink plastic. Tiny art is clever and interesting but the Sistine Chapel is a sacred space in praise of God from a time of revolutionary development in art materials and techniques, a masterpiece. Let us appreciate each work and artist for what they are. I wish you a very Happy New Year, Simon. Thank you and yours for all you add to the world, including thought-provoking blogs!
