Simple, elegant and gorgeous. As always Barbara’s tutorials get my mind racing in all sorts of creative ways. Just pulled out my stencils and the ones Leonie makes for you would make a fun background too. You could even use a die cut made out of leftover adhesive backing for the center.

Just wish gilding flake came in more colors. I like the sheen of flake better than glitter. Maybe a combination of both. Lots of messy experimenting ahead! Wish I didn’t have to go to work today.

Love gilding flakes, they add elegance to a project as long as it is primarily silver/ gold /copper based. Additional colours I would like are a real burgundy mix, a good green and a heavenly peacock/teal. Have tried many makes of flakes and in all that quote a colour there is more silver or gold than the colour it was bought for. Maybe I’m just too fussy.

    Hi Simon,
Great video. I love gilding flakes although I’m wary of using them after I gilded the poor cat last year when I dropped the box over her!! She did look good though poor little thing.
Might have to lock myself in my little craft room , and make sure she’s not in with me, and have a go at this one. Thanks,
    Love Alison x
