Saturday Easter Share!
Hello hello! Grace here 🙂 With my usual Saturday blog!
I hope this finds you content, healthy and peaceful! That’s really a winning combination, eh?
I’ve had quite the week! Thank you for the love and well wishes! I had a surgical procedure on my face/mouth on Wednesday. Mum mentioned it in the SHAC SHAC, so of course I got a bunch of lovely messages from our brilliant community. Thank you! Positive energy from around the world is always a good thing. All went smoothly and I was home that same afternoon, so thank you! I took off Thursday to rest, but was back to it by Friday!
Well… actually, I did an 8 script voice over audition on my ‘day of rest’. Sounds like someone else we know 😉
I really shouldn’t have, with a few sutures and a stent in my mouth, but felt quite proud of myself afterwards! Though I felt rough, I sounded quite normal! It’s wild how much we’re capable of, us humans. Never underestimate yourself!
I recall having a throat surgery back in 2017… on a Friday morning. And I was so anxious about missing voice over opportunities (nothing’s changed there then!) that I was recording auditions from my closet by the Sunday afternoon. And booked 2 recording sessions that very next week! Arrived still bandaged up, to their dismay. And then booked more work in a 1 month period than ever before! Look 🙂
And THAT experience helped me do the same this time around 🙂 If I could do THAT, I could absolutely do this… minor in comparison!
Anyway, my ramblings… I hope it helps someone somewhere push themselves through a barrier. It’s quite a good feeling, that. Don’t let things get in your way!

Hi Grace, glad everything went ok for you on Wednesday. I had been wondering how you were. You definitely come out of the same box as your Mom !! but I sometimes think if you have to get on & do something it takes your mind off what has gone before rather than sitting in the chair feeling sorry for yourself.
Lovely selection of projects again this week, thanks for sharing them with us as I am sure some miss my feed on Facebook & it is good to see some new names. I had a pile of WIP so have sat this morning finishing off 2 of them & am going to go & do a few more now. Where do the days go to another week gone by in a flash but also I can’t believe it was 4 years ago when you had your throat operation.
