A Happy Mother’s Day

Hi there everyone, thanks so much for visiting us on the blog today!

It’s a bright happy, sunny, Sunday morning and it’s also Mother’s Day here in the UK – or Mothering Sunday as we used to call it, back in the day.

It’s a chance to remember our mothers with fondness and gratitude, and to ponder the privilege of motherhood and its benefits to family and social life.

I’m sure we’ll all be celebrating Mother’s Day in our own ways. Here at Clarity, we’d like to celebrate mothers, too! Our brilliant new designer Jazz came up with the design you can see below. She created the stamps, and Barbara produced the artwork. The little animation runs through the steps of this beautiful and brilliant design, which expresses a sentiment as true as can be!

If you got here via the email we sent this morning, you will have read our little poem already, but for everyone else, we’d like to share a little Mother’s Day thought.

Home is where your heart is, that's what we often say.
But when you stop and think about it, especially today...
What do we really mean? What else could we say?
But that home is where your Mum is. And Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother’s Day once again from all of us at Clarity. From the bottom of our hearts. Extra love & strength to those missing their mothers too. This a day to honour motherhood, in all its many forms.

Travel gently, friends.

Lotsa love, the Clarity team xoxo

Just picked my Mum up for Sunday lunch, I remember it always used to be Mothering Sunday and we always went to church when we were younger. I’m afraid I don’t go now but sometimes feel I want to make the effort. Don’t know why I don’t really. Stepson no.1 bought me some flowers and no.2 gave me his a couple of weeks ago as he knew he wouldn’t see me, so that’s nice. Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mum’s out there and hugs to those who no longer have their Mum. Got to have a word with the cats – they seem to have forgotten ….. 😹. X

It’s still Mothering Sunday! My girls know not to send me cards with Mother’s Day on. Unfortunately there were no children to distribute the posies in church this morning but I took one to put on the memorial where my Mother’s ashes are interred. Hope everyone had a good day. X

I took my mom to church this morning as it was her first time at a new church having just moved house. It was even more special as it was Mothering Sunday. We then had lunch in her new flat – meal cooked by my husband but sadly her granddaughter & 2 great granddaughters couldn’t join us as planned as the eldest great granddaughter tested positive for Covid on Friday. We have scheduled a Take 2 for a few weeks time.
