Happy New Year!

Hello hello! Grace here.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

PinchYourRearIt’sTheFirstDayOfTheYear! (my version of pinch punch, first day of the month haha!)

We’re back! I know, I know… I’ve missed you too. My Mum insisted that I take a break from the blog for the holidays, and I obliged. I’ve been on the chat for most of this week, so many of us have chatted already, but now we’re rolling our sleeves up again for the new year!

I hope you were able to make the most of the holiday season. I certainly did! Cooked up a STORM. Threw myself into it… perhaps for distraction? Well, it worked!! And I now feel very chuffed with myself. It’s back on Mum 100% next year 😉 But it’s lovely to know that I could take over if she needed me to. Now we can share the load a little more confidently.

First, German Christmas Eve! Followed by Lamb Shank on Christmas Day (bit different). And then made German potato soup over the weekend 🙂 All for the first time. And I have to say they were preeeeeetty tasty… but that’s because I have two epic cooks teaching me and sharing their recipes. It kept the 3 generations of women in consistent contact through the week.

Otherwise it was quiet, as I’m sure so many of your Christmas’s were too. And that’s okay! That’s a WHOLE lot better than so many experienced this year. There were millions upon millions of people who would do just about anything to have the peaceful Christmas experience we just had. Lots of empty seats at tables around the world… and how lucky are we that they were only empty because we were in separate homes. Thankful!

On this first day of a new year, let’s just take a moment to think about those that aren’t as lucky as we. I try to do this every year, but this New Year hits a little different doesn’t it?

So let’s collectively send those less fortunate some positive energy and strength to continue into this new year. And also count our blessings. For there are many <3

ANYWAY! That was my little deep New Years Day bit… can’t help myself.

Moving swiftly on to some Clarity business…

As many of you likely predicted, we won’t be continuing the Groovi SHAC projects into 2021. It has been a wonderful thing though hasn’t it? Please join me in giving huge thanks to the exceptional Hazel Edwards for all the beautiful projects she created and shared with us. They will all stay on the website as downloads and are completely free! We just need to move on to other things. Keep it fresh 😀

But don’t worry… the SHAC SHAC is continuing! Monday/Wednesday/Friday! PHEW! We still very much need it, don’t we?

In regards to the Groovi SHAC, my Mum and I have been discussing some blog ideas, so we’re really just making some space for that to happen!

We’re going down the bloggy tutorial path… and it’s going to be brilliant! Watch this space. We’ll be keeping it Groovi over here on the Clarity Matters blogs, and my Mum will go in all the other stampy/inky/stencilly directions! For beginners, intermediate and expert level! So there will be something for everyone. Exciting. Here’s one Barbara blogged this week already… LOVELY!

Ooooh! So many of you have asked me recently when our next sale is happening! KEEN. Our next official BIG SALE will be the Member’s Only Sale in February that I know so many of you prepare for! So… now is your chance to join the club if you’re not already a member.
You can find all of the information here.

I’m going to keep doing my Sunday Share so I’ll chat to you again then! I’m off to go make the very most of this new year.

Travel gently.

Lotsa love, Grace xo

    Hi Grace, Happy New Year!

    The food looks delicious!

I am so grateful for the Groovi SHAC downloads – I looked forward to them each Friday and enjoyed deciding how to interpret with the plates I have.

The tutorials sound really interesting and I look forward to those too! I am pleased with my progress so far on this parchment journey and am excited about where it will take me in the coming weeks/months!

I wish you a happy and peaceful 2021.

Happy New Year to all the Clarity team. I’ve loved reading your contributions throughout 2020, even if sometimes I haven’t commented. Looking forward to the new formats from a very talented family.

A very Happy New Year to you both , looks like you had good food. Can’t say I enjoyed Christmas, but at least I had FaceTime with all the family. Strange world.
Was so surprised to see your Mum in the Shac on Christmas Day, and again today. She really has been wonderful. Must get some jobs done, like watering all my plants. Then some lunch . Keep safe. Xxxxx

Happy New Year, Grace. Glad your mum made you take a little break. Hazel has done an amazing job and all those ideas for layouts are there to be reused or tried as the bus moves on. There are the Groovi club and all the Hochanda demos for those needing more inspiration than the blog. Thanks for acknowledging the empty chairs.

Happy New Year Grace, you earned that break lovely lady!

It has been a weird Christmas and New Year.
We lost two family members just before Christmas, not covid, had family who caught covid just before too but they are okay now for which I am beyond grateful for.

Looking forward to the changes xx

Happy New Year Grace and best wishes for a safe and healthy one. I am glad you managed to take a break and the dishes you made look amazing. Some of my favourites, so I wish we had scratch and sniff internet!

Wishing you and your Mark a peaceful and calm new Year. I hesitate over ‘happy’, with the worst yet of the pandemic looking likely here, but perhaps once the vaccine programme is well under way, we can then look forward to happier times.
We also had lamb for Christmas as we usually do. Your meals look tasty.
I’m glad you had a good break and it’s good to see you back.

Happy New Year Grace, my wish is for a healthy and peaceful year. Took down my New York calendar this morning and said to my husband “wonder when we will go there again “. Just want another visit while I am fit enough.

Happy new year Grace, lets hope it’s a better one!
Although my daughter and her partner that I spent Christmas day with have since tested positive for Covid, so we all start the new year in isolation for 10 days.
In the mean time I’m still looking forward to the SHAC shac doodles.
    stay safe and well,
    Jackie

Happy New Year Grace. Glad you enjoyed your cooking – it all looks delicious. Must confess I don’t do much as OH is the cook in our household whilst I do washing & ironing etc.
We were lucky to have my mom, daughter & 2 granddaughters with us for Christmas Day. We played games & chatted over meals catching up on all our news as Mom hadn’t seen our daughter & granddaughters since February other than our family zoom get togethers.
Have downloaded Groovi Shac 36 – presumably this will be the last in this format. The plans for the future sound exciting with plenty for us to get our teeth into & keep us occupied during the coming months.
Stay safe – we have come this far so we can do this for a bit longer whilst the virus is kicked into touch by the vaccine.

Happy new year everyone. Does anyone know if the member’s only sale is sitewide or is it just selected items? Thanks.

A very happy new year to you and Mark. You were together and that counts for a whole lot. Isn’t it great too, that you can be in contact across the pond and even see your family across the pond without being there. Gone are the days when you need to wait for a letter to arrive with all the news of home and only the odd phone call because it was so expensive! Changed days but so much for which to be grateful. Looking forward to all that is new, bloggy tutorials sound good to me. Anyway, glad you got a break. We all need one now and again. I was off last week, too, and have just started back today (Saturday), not with any great enthusiasm, I have to say! However, that will come. I just need to focus. Stay safe and be kind to yourself while you encourage all of us to do the same. Lots of love. Hxx
